The shadows

From the dark, shadowy forest a lone person sits on a branch watching the moon. Without a sound she leaps to the ground, landing on the soft earth in a movement lost in the darkness. Fog fills the forest floor as she winds her way through it, the mild wind sweeping her long black hair around her face, but not hiding the moon’s glistening reflection on the fangs gracing her lips, nor the brilliant silver of her eyes as she analyzes her surroundings. Alone she walks, neither solid nor shadow (her fully black attire lessening the distinction one way or the other) trusting herself to the shadows of the night, where she was made.

She is a shadow vampire, quiet, silent, watching you when you least expect it. She was created long ago from the time of shadows, a trained master, able to harness their power, one with them. She does not remember who created her, nor the reasons behind her transformation, a truth she will always yearn for. So, she walks the night alone, looking for something that will make her heart beat with life again, hiding in the shadows and waiting for that opportune moment to strike
