I've got the best roomie I think I've ever had..

here I am, not doing well thanks to my crohn's and a bad bacteriological infection, and she's on the left coast all worried about both me and her doggies.. wishing she could be here to help.. that rocks

That she cares and is stressed out about all of us here is awesome. I'd rather have her not be.. I mean, come on, stuff happens.

I haven't had a roomie really truly be this concerned for me in a long, long time. If feels very good :)

The two of us really seem to think along the same lines about an awful lot of things.. and i'm not just talking about where to put things, or how things should be done.. i mean our brains seem to be on the same wavelength on pretty much everything. This is a good thing.

So, I hope you're blushing and smiling reading this Sahahria.. feel good too while you're at it.. cause we'll all still be here when you get back and we'll get everything on the right track...

Now if only we could get a certain RMT up here, things would be MUCH better!;)

Today I was amazed in my travels. Usually, being out and about the day before Christmas is about as safe as walking through a war zone. Today however, Christmas spirit abounded;

I watched a group of punk kids chase down a wad of money that blew out of an older woman's hands, and return ALL of it instead of running with it.

I had more doors held open for me today then ever before ( I also held my share open too)

Actually had someone let me take a parking spot instead of fighting over it.. and it was steps from the main doors!

People were smiling and being cheerful, and helpful.. and it was weird and awesome all at the same time.

Gives me hope that we haven't lost christmas to commercialism after all.

Just when things were beginning to settle down in my life, BAM, back comes the pain and uncertainty.

My crohn's hit me hard Thursday, sending me to the Emergency room from work.

Turns out I've got edema build up between my large intestine and the perinneal lining of my abdominal cavity.. in english: not good.

A new treatment plan is being developed in hopes of correcting this without surgery. We'll just have to wait and hope.

I'd love to say I'm exaggerating when I say it feels like someone's stuck me with a hot poker in my guts, but I'm not. If anyone's got a spare set of large intestines kicking around, I'll be happy to buy them from you.

Woot!! check out Sahahria's journal for pics of all the snow that's fallen in the last, ohhh, 18hours.. Basically, it started snowing this morning about 6am and hasn't really stopped. For the first time in a long time I feel like I'm back out West:)

It's not that I dislike Christmas, I don't. I love the holiday in fact. what I can't stand is all the commercialism that has been injected into the holiday; it makes this time of year feel fake. So many running around, stressed to the gills, grumbling under their breath yet flashing fake smiles and platitudes to occasional friends.

People need to step back, remember what the holiday is all about, and really return to enjoying this time of year instead of running around in the commercial madness that has been created.

I love when you get to talk to someone you haven't spoken to in a long time and it's like nothing has changed.. You pick right up where you left off so many months ago; That's what friendship is:)

This time I hope I don't lose track of this friend again.. it's just too good of a conversation!:)
