The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

Ever wonder why people do things, despite the fact that it's not really healthy for them? Easy, they're obsessed. They're so wrapped up in whatever world they've conjured that they can't see the real world and the effect their obsession has on it. It's unhealthy, not only for the person doing the obsessing, but the people that obsession effects. It could be chocolate, it could be movies, other people, cars, pornography, drugs, the list is endless.

My bid question is 'why'? Why do these people act the way they do? Were they missing some fundamental part of their being raised that causes this? Are they missing some 'anit-obsession gene' that the rest of us have? Are they just so blinded by their own wants and desires that they just can't see reality?

I have no idea. All i know is that I'm tired of it. I know too many who are obsessed in one way or another, and it's wearing on me. I know I should just get on with my life, but it doesn't seem to work that way. It's like some of these obsessed people have invaded my life, my 'space' and are affecting it beyond my control. I'd like to collectively shake them all and tell them to get on with their lives, but I don't think they'd listen..

See, that's the other part of obsession.. most times the people doing the obsessing don't even know they're doing it.. can't see the obsession or the negative effect it has on others.. or even care what that effect is.

My question? Why can't they just move on and get their live's in gear? Why do that have to be stuck in one place, over one thing? Why can't they move beyond that into a place that is better for everyone, including themselves?

Maybe they just don't want to admit a fault or a failing... maybe they're scared of what's out there, maybe they just don't want to deal with life...

well, to those that are messing my life up with their obsessions.. GET OVER THEM! MOVE ON! NOT ONLY WILL YOU BE HAPPY, BUT I WILL TOO, ALONG WITH EVERYONE ELSE YOU'RE MESSING WITH!!



ok, rant over.. back to normal life (i hope)

So I've spent sevral days running through profiles and portfolios rating people that deserve to be rated, and I can't hlep but notice something.. there are an awful lot of people on here with NO actual pic of themselves .. anywhere!

Now I know what you're going to say.. 'maybe then don't have a camera'... well, why do they have loads of other pics then? Of friends, of stars, of other vr members.. yet nothing of themselves??

I figure it has to do with their level of self confidence.. or lack thereof actually. They're soo desperate for a good rating that they'll sacrafice themselves in order to feel good by having a 9+ rating..

My thought on this? What's wrong that you can't stand on your own 2 feet and let us all accept you for who you are? I mean, I've posted a pic of me virtually naked! Did it bother me? NO!!! I know i'm not the most attractive guy out there, and that a lot of people really don' t like body hair... but come on people! Haven't you learned yet that being yourself is better for you AND everyone else in the long run???

ok.. ranting done.. seems like i've been doing a lot of that lately...
