Seeing as I've been cleaning up the mess that was the move into my place, I decided to return to House Eternal in style as well (I'd been 'away'... move took up a lot of time) and clean up the forum there.



oooo boy did I ever clean it up!!



Somehow in my deleting/rip'ing/ria'ing fest, it looks like I hit the 'delete all' button as opposed to the 'delete' button (I'm still sure that I hit just 'delete', but that's me...) AND WIPED OUT THE ENTIRE HOUSE FORUM. Yes, laugh at me, it's ok, everyone else is..



At first I thought it was some kind of glitch.. my screen went all grey on me.. well, that's not it.. I'm getting the grey screen any time I switch pages in here...

Basically, I dumped the whole thing. Wether it can be retreived or not i have no idea. Thank you to Heidi though for not instantly killing me/blinding me , and BIG thanks to Sahahria for falling off of her chair laughing at me when i told her... HURRY UP AND MOVE DAMMIT!! lol

moral of the story? Make sure you're more awake so you can watch what you're doing..

I'll never forget the feelings that coursed through my body that day 5 years ago. The fear, the helplessness, the anguish, the anger the resolution to do something... and more.

The sacrifices made by the men and women in New Yorks's emergency services still put goose bumps on my skin and a lump in my throat.



Fallen Heroes should never be forgotten, neither the reason that they fell.

For the first time in a long time, I'm living in a place to call my own... and this time utilities aren't included in the bill. I've caught myself all weekend wondering and worrying what it's going to cost when I turn a light on, turn the tv on, the stereo, etc... It's kind of funny yet scary at the same time. The previous places I've had have all been 'inclusive'.. this one's all on me; gas, hydro, water... I know i'm not using a lot, but at the same time I worry that I am. The first bills will be a good indicator as to how I'm doing.

Still working on getting everything settled here too. The living room is pretty much done except for some artwork to be hung. The dining room is all Sahahria's, the kitchen has almost all of my stuff away and organized... Upstairs has my bedroom well on it's way (again, needing to hang artwork and finish small details). Mind you, I need to get all my stuff out of the other 2 bedrooms; I used them as 'staging points' as I unpacked and settled. The upstairs bathroom is done (easiest room actually...lol). The basement.. well that's going to need some more work still. The workbench is built and in place, as is some of the shelving, but I still need to get the rest of the shelves in place and organize everything before Sahahria gets here. Half of the basement is being turned into 'manland'.. that place where all my 'man-things' are; you know, those items that men just seem to keep as their own; collectibles, paintball gear, tools, models (yes, I still build models.. the little plastic kind, not the runway kind..lol), sporting goods... hence the 'Manland' moniker.

Lots of little things to still do, and some will await Sahahria's arrival as they are things we must decide on together as roomates. It feels good being in my own space again though!

Well, I'm in and mostly unpacked.. I've managed to get the living room pretty much done, my bedroom's almost there, the main bathroom the same.. mind you the downstairs 'manland' has yet to be touched lol... I'm leaving that to the end as it's the spot not very many will be seeing immediately.

It's good to finally be here and getting settled. It'll only be complete though once Sahahria's here will all of her stuff and we've almalgamated everything!

I'm thinking end of September for the official housewarming, providing we can get everything where we want it! yeay!!

YEAY!!!! All moved in! Phone hooked up, cable hooked up, OBVIOUSLY internet (HIGHSPEED..ABOUT TIME!! LOL) and i'm setting up everything where I need it!

Thank God Sahahria couldn't get here this weekend.. this would be a nightmare of boxes and stuff and pets and more stuff...lmao
