You know I have lived long enough to see many faces of insanity and discord within the world, but these last few years takes the cake. Its the kind of thing I expected to see in movies, parodies to be exact.
You got Russia invading Ukraine, the world, including america rightly calls them out for it.
You have the Israeli vs Hamas situation, with idiots choosing to support actual terrorists, which includes the suicidal "queers for palestine".
Please go to palastine and try that, maybe reality will set in but I doubt it.
Not even being stoned to death or thrown from roofs will stop their idiocy but maybe that is for the best....
Darwinism = death of stupid people to protect gene pool.
Then America violated international law and illegally went into Venezuela and kidnapped the president.
Now regardless of whether or not Maduro was a dictatior, a criminal etc or that Venezuela may be better off is completely irrelevent
That is so not the point.
It was an illegal act and it sets a bad precedent, as not only did america lose their "moral highground" against russia/china but now they are basically telling the likes of Russia or China that its ok to illegally invade others, just come up with a poor excuse such as "chemical attack"
Idiots, drug cartals and smugglers may be criminals, but they aret terrorists and none of it is an excuse to invade another sovereign state.
Now we had the orange prick attempt to bully greenland into selling their land or be invaded by america.
Of course, as usual of bullies, he is just a paper tiger that got put into his place and agreed to terms that are already active since the 1950s. lol
Though the orange asshat thought he won, either out of sheer stupidity and not realizing he lost or he is trying to save face which is not working.

Now while Trump is bad, his followers are worse in my opinion.
The self-delusion and narcissism of one man can be undertstood, but for almost half of americans to be just as delusional with no self-awareness and ignore blatant facts i.e "yeah trump won, yeah, art of the deal" when he clearly lost and clearly cannot state or remember facts (mixing greenland up with iceland among other things) is seriously concerning, its not just a global facepalm situation, its practically a pandemic but only this time the virus is called stupidity and spreading like a wilfire amongst his followers.
This is what happens when you allow a cult of personality to form. The followers lose their rational mind and the ability of critical thinking.
They are so up Trump's ass that he could slip and falll down the stairs and they will say it was an intentional power move to manipulate the world.
I'm glad EU and NATO called his bluff but the problem now is that like I said, Trump gained nothing but the original 1951 deal which means all that hostility and threats which ruined the US reputation and trust with the world was all for nothing.
Now future negotiations may start off cold and distant, intelligence sharing with the US is going to be less. The trust is gone.
Funny thing regarding the followers is how suicidally stupid they are. Baxk when it looked like Trump was going to try and invade, They actually thought there would be no consequences for it.
Completely ignorant of sanctions, closed down bases, possibly exile or stranding or americans in other countries, complete and utter cut offs when it comes to trade. Dollar value out of the window, America would sufffer. No matter what would happen to EU, America would suffer more. America relies on import for most of its resources, no trade = no import = no resources = new depression where american will need to turn inward and ration resources and nationalize some others.
Welcome to 2026 I guess.

I lived long enough to observe and notice that rules are for fools. We were led to believe there's legality and illegality. In reality, though, everything is decided by power and not nice words.

No dearie, when it comes to tribes, rules are for their survival. Its not good enough to merely huddle in a group against the jungle. There has to be consensus of ideals, which then require laws to maintain.
Even non human animals can have a social heirarchy that is essential for surivival.
While there is a natural law (which I do prefer) that operates seperately from human law, that can only take one so far when it comes to the nuances and heirarchy of a tribe (society) You need more than power to succeed because power on its own is nothnig. You need to be smart, know when to be diplomatic, know when to apply pressure and know how to read the room. If all you got is strength and nothing else, if you will fail.
Think a sword. A dangerous and powerful tool, anyone can pick one up and be a powerful danger, but if they don't know how to use it properly i.e lacking skill, knowledge and finesse, they will hurt themselves and their allies instead of just the enemy
Ultimately is actually fooslish to rely soley on power and the "might makes right" mindset.
Trump tried it and embarrassed himself , he lost because he tried to beat his chest and bully Greenland, all that military power and he ended up folding like a paper tiger when NATO/EU bared its teeth back. Their power came from diplomatic sources i.e the countries used nice words and negotiations to form a powerful alliance, which is superior to one man who thinks he can do what he wants.
So dearie, conlusion is nice words can infact = power.
Goes for individual scales too, strong as I am personally I have done more good and bad (whatever the intent) with simple words whispered in ears and moving people like pawns on a chess board.
Influence and persuasion are far more powerful tools in the long term and it only takes words to bring down empires, epecially if they are paranoid.
