The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

Let's begin with my holiday - each day I will try to add in another destination with advertures etc.



Our first point of call was Shanghai in China.



Let me first back track and explain a little about why and how China was choosen.



A dream for many years has been to climb/walk/die trying on the Great Wall of China.



When speaking to people about going to China, most told me, The Great Wall is in Beijing, but don't bother going, Shanghai is heaps better.



Being torn by advice and hearts desire, we had 8 days so I thought I would spend 4 days in each to check them both out for myself



And thank god I did. We arrived in Shanghai at 9pm in the evening and went straight to the hotel. It was about 38 degress celcius and 10000000% humidy!!! By the time we had walked from the transfer to the foyer I was saturated from head to toe.



The hotel was a 3 star number called the Metropole - it should have been named the Metro-hole. Upon arriving into our room, the dismay was apparent immediatly on our faces - it was below stantard.



Never the less - we figures we won't stay much in the room, so we could live with it. We unpacked and went in search of food.



First ting I notice at this stage out on the streets? The stench of raw sewage... disgusting!



The next day we had a tour of the city - old city, lunch- Ming gardens, the Bund etc, very lovely, very hot, but nice - still stickes just about every where we went.



After many happy snaps we returned to our hotel for the 3rd shower of the day.



By now we are convincec.. we HATE Shanghai. This modern metropolis of massive high rises, crowded streets, constant beeping of cars and bikes and not to mention the raw stench.. we couldn't wait to leave - but as mentioned before, the hotel sucked as well.



So what is a girl to do? Shop! And shop I did, thank good for shopping folks!



By day 4, after counting down the hours and waiting for our dirver who arrives 45 minutes late due to the traffic we where happy to bid Shanghai bye bye forever and very excited but now nervous about what to expect in Beijing....

I returned last week from a 3 month holiday (first vacation I've had in 3 years so i had too much leave to take)



When I get a chance during the week I'll write an entry on the trip - It will take a while as there was a lot of things done.



I can't get over the amount of changes here - nearly fell off my seat acutally - and all the people who have changed!! (married, divorced, shagged, babies etc) so please fill my mesage box with catch up news!



I have many new pictures to add as awell, I became very creative - let me re-size the lot and load em up baby!



Anyway must dash as I have bundles of stuff to read in the forum
