This week has been a blast. We had family visit, the business has been doing well, and the garden is exploding. Our meals have shifted to vegetarian because of the abundance and we have enough to begin pickling as well which is a must. A girlfriend of mine is just as in to pickling as we are and now we're going to do an exchange to try our different recipes. I like this part of growing older, when this stuff and bird calls become exciting.
We're taking off this afternoon for a short getaway, I'll be bringing work with me but I don't mind it.
I've been repeating the mantra since I left Minnesota: I have everything I need to get to where I need to, I want for nothing.
It's calmed down a few anxiety waves so, nice. lol
We went away on that five day camping trip and left the cat at home. A family member went over every day to check on him, spend time with him, scoop the litter box, change his water, etc.
We will not be doing that again. Apparently he needs full time babysitting. Ok, still doable. But now we've been home for four nights, almost as long as we were away and every damn night that cat starts yowling. YOWLING. Every hour, on the hour. No, we do not let him into the bedroom while we're sleeping and we never have.
I love him very much but this morning I was so tired from being woken up I put my bra on sideways.
