I must balance my gratitude for witnessing another season change and my absolutely chapped-ass resentment of winter. I'm sorry winter, but you make everything I do more complicated. Things don't cure properly, sanding is a frigid nightmare, and escaping the fumes means moving things around, half cured, from garage to a corner in the basement and just hoping it doesn't become a problem.
You know what it's doing? It's teaching me discipline. I like to stampede from one aspect of the project to the next because I get so excited and this is forcing me to plan ahead, put projects on rotation, and just in general slow down and think. Part of my brain finds that boring but I have my suspicions of that part of my brain, I think it's the reason why I've had to redo so many previous projects to "fix" things.
Tonight my husband is making a pizza. He came up with a pizza that's so delicious my friends ask about it, so we've invited company over for a mid-week pizza moral boost.
