This Veteran's Day I want to thank all those past, present and future who keep us free and able to speak our minds and act as stupid as we pretty much want to act. God knows we do plenty of both!
I lost 2 uncles this year, one served in Korea and the other in Vietnam and I will miss them the rest of my life but I'm so proud of them.
There's many here on VR alone who should be thanked for their service and I do that now for myself and my family.
The crying shame to me is that they are having school here today. There are other days now that seem to be more important for them to observe than the one honoring the people who allow us to be free to take days off. Just wrong!
Was trying to watch a little tv tonight but instead have to turn it off, too many political ads every 30 seconds it seems. Not just the nation election but there's a hot and dirty congressional election here that isn't stopping either. Then the doorbell goes off as the local city council is up for election too and they have folks going door to door asking for votes.
I'm going to vote tomorrow but these ads have nothing to do with my choice.
But it sure makes you want to turn off the lights and hide inside until it's over.

Only one day left, thank goodness!
Oh you can try to hide... but they will find you.
