another test out of the way

19:59 Mar 31 2010
Times Read: 599

Finished the next psychology exam today. I love online tests. Lot less pressure (not that it effects me personally) and they're there to do whenever you're feeling bored. hahaha

Got a 96 so i missed 2/50, not bad. This one was on learning and conditioning. I did great considering I was occupied with Dead frontier for the majority of the class days. hahaha

Wish there were more psychology classes at this college. Guess i'll have to wait to get into a more detailed portion.

The great thing about being a history teacher is that history and psychology intertwine, so i could teach both!

now i gotta do the exam i somehow skipped in my computer class....yay.....wish the next psych exam was opened already, i'd do them all today if i could. hahaha

zombie hunting ended horribly, as it always does, same way too

18:49 Mar 29 2010
Times Read: 600

I'm beginning to think dead frontier doesn't like me. hahaha

I was way deep into the city again, not into long-arm territory though, 1 section over just looting corpses and cars and junk. Finally went into a building that was surprisingly empty. It was a grocery story, Winterfields if i remember right. So, I'm roaming around in there and there are no zombies at all, this happens from time to time, there'll be an empty building, no big deal. But once i hit the center of the room it was like a zombie ambush, they just started pouring out of everywhere! I held out for a minuet or so but got outflanked and surrounded, there must have been 20 or more of them in there just swarming the place, then they all did this coordinated zombie-group-punch thingy and i died. hahaha got some nice stuff before i died but i died. it is insanely hard for me to keep quiet in the library while playing that game, keep having to hold back the urge to shout "shit!" hahaha

Good start of week

18:06 Mar 29 2010
Times Read: 601

I was honestly dreading thsi day all weekend. Had 3 projects to do that i've been putting off. But when i actually sat down to do them i got them all done and submitted in 30 minuets, that's total, not for each. Got all As too which is hilarious.

It's also kinda sad how the only time i feel awake in art appreciation is when i'm doing work for other classes. Glad i got all of those out of the way quick, now i have time for what really matters - video games! Damn i have backwards priorities. hahaha But i'm still successful so i could care less. Zombie hunting time!

Oblivion - progress

09:21 Mar 28 2010
Times Read: 605

it's 4am so it's the perfect time to write a detailed journal! hahaha

so far on Oblivion, I'm at the Path of Dawn part in the main quest, level 22 with the three main stats maxed out, Speed, Intelligence and Willpower.

I also got my Mundane Ring so I now have a 100% immunity to magic and magic related status effects. 50% from Breton class and then other 50% from the ring. Now ghosts, will-o-the-wisp's, mages, deadra spiders and whatever else there is, too tired to think that far, i am now immune to. I remember the first time I got the ring and encountered a small army of ghosts, they were just casting away at me and it didn't go a thing, it was hilarious. I got up to get a drink and everything.

The game is still difficult though, mainly because my race is not built for combat but that's what i'm using it for. Being an Expert in all magic aside from Destruction helps though. Despite having access to all the bets light armor's i'm still in the basic leather's because that armor set looks so cool! And it looks better when sneaking, instead of sneaking in bright gold elven armor or....glass...*shudders* hate glass. I got the bets type of longsword though - deadric, and an Ebony bow so i'm pretty well set. I love being able to do flips and stuff with acrobatics, like a freakin ninja!

I also finished setting up my library in the Wizard's tower house. Took all the generic copies of books off the first two shelves and set up all original books. Read most of them too. It's funny, i hate reading real books but i don't mind reading books on a video game. hahaha Maybe that's because they're actually interesting. I got a big collection too, though nearly all of it's stolen. hahaha

Probably my favorite part of this play through is that i can summon clanfears! Those fast as hell deadra that have the reflect damage shield thing. I absolutely hate fighting them but I loves to summon them! It's like my pet. hahaha Just summon, sit back, watch the clanfear kick ass! I can summon the deadroths, which are better but they're way too damn big. Take up too much space and limit my mobility in small spaces, Clanfears i can just jump over.

Got my two favorite spells made too

-instant friend which brings up a character's disposition for me to 100 for 2 seconds.

-master key which unlocks Very Hard locks or below, i know there's the skeleton key bonus item, which i'm in the process of getting but i'm using that for training, and i like my spell damn it!

i'm really starting to have fun with this game again. Usually i get bored before it gets to this point, but after obliterating the mythic dawn shrine i'm usually pumped up. gonna be an awesome massacre!

how do we hear ourselves think?

This is something i always wondered. What is the process that allows us to "hear ourselves think" when no one else can hear it, although i swear some people i know can. Some kind of chemical reaction maybe? Whatever it is that causes it, it's fascinated me for a long while.

I've looked around on the internet but haven't found anything remotely relevant.

I would ask my grandpa but that'd probably get a religious answer and just end up being a waste of my time.

Russian Reversals

Times Read: 617

God those jokes will never, ever get old! Yakov Smirnoff kicks so much ass!

The one i can not get out of my head is

"In America you find Waldo, In Soviet Russia Waldo finds you!" i know that wasn't one of the ones by Yakov Smirnoff but it's still awesome!

just so people who haven't heard of these aren't confused these jokes make fun at Russian speech.

In English the noun is after the verb, it's switched if you're translating from Russian. So normally it's

"You, verb, noun" translating Russian it's "Noun, verb, you"

awesome play on words!

In America you listen to the man on radio. In Soviet Russia man on radio listens to you!

In America you check email. In Soviet Russia email checks you!

In America you call the police. In Soviet Russia the police calls you!

Cake eats you!

Dog walks you!

Computer programs execute you!

Pets nuder you!

Car drives you!

Road forks you! - yay family guy! Although i swear that was from the Simpsons not family guy.

AIDS spreads you! - doesn't make sense but made me laugh all the same

Company owns you!

In America you scam government. In Soviet Russia government scams you!

and just to be slightly corny,

vampire rave membership pays for you!

I'm a ghost!

01:14 Mar 26 2010
Times Read: 619

Everyone here calls me a ghost because i'm so damn quiet. hahaha For the most part i don't even try to be, i just move quietly by nature.

Today i walked out into the living room to see what was on TV, dad was looking in the fridge for something and didn't hear me walk right behind him and sit down on the leather chair. He turns from the fridge after he finds what he's looking for and was like "When'd you get there!?"

Then later in the day i was going to throw away my soda can in the little recycling box thingy grandpa has in the backyard. Grandpa was cutting up some fish on the counter next to the back door, he just turned away from the hallway as i walked in, didn't notice me walk behind him and finally heard me open the squeaky backdoor and for a second thought someone was trying to come inside. He spun around os fast. hahaha it was great!

Then soon after i did feel like messing with my dad so when he was watching TV i crept up next to him and took his beer can from the table and just ducked down behind the chair. When he went to reach for it and saw it was gone he started looking all over and i was just following along right behind him, in the hallway he actually looked on the ceiling which i take as a huge complement because i haven't gotten on the ceiling in forever! He went back to the living room and looked behind the couch, while he did that i put the beer can back on the table and went into the bathroom. I hear "Damn it Matt!" then flush the toilet real quick and walk out all confused. hahaha it was hilarious!

Got an A on a group English project despite forgetting to add in a key component. My jokes saved our ass!

We were doing a project on analyzing and comparing two poems. Cobwebs by Christina Rossetti and Design by Robert Frost. We had, and did, talk about each poem, provide our analysis for each, describe the author and ask the class 5 questions about the poem.

We, or rather I, forgot to add in the part where we talk about the major theme of the poems and list examples of metaphors, ect within the poems.

We didn't realize this till after our presentation though since we went first, then we all collectively shit ourselves 3 presentations later when everyone else had everything.

BUT, the duologue we all had in the presentation made it awesome! Me and my friend Jon always have this imrpov tone with our projects. We go in unscripted and just go with the flow, no rehearsals or "who says what" type of thing, makes them hilarious. Like, our first question was asking what the class though of the first poem. We knew that this class is full of shy, shy, shy students so their silence would buy us 30 seconds of time at least, near the end of the silence jon said

"Come on guys, no one's gonna hit you if they don't like your opinion"

I said "I will!"

Which was followed by "ok, Matt will"

I swear the exact phrase was used on a show i watched somewhere but i can't for the life of me place it.

then when reading one of the last questions i said "What emotions do these poems elicit? Besides boredom."

also when no one answered the second question i'm like "This is a great audience!"

for being a mute i kick ass at these presentations.

if we get another group project like these i'm gonna play the jeopardy theme during the question parts! it'll be hilarious!!!

Oblivion

00:59 Mar 24 2010
Times Read: 631

Decided Oblivion would be the lucky game I play next. Although in truth i probably should be working on that English project that's due Thursday but...I'm not. hahaha Poor use of time - yes, entertaining - yes, so it's worth it!

Decided to do the whole "role-playing" thing this time and damn i suck. I'm actually good at it but i'm actually embarrassed i'm thinking too much on something like that, don't know why.

Gotta say the absolute hardest part about these RPG games is the beginning when you're picking your stats. You pick the wrong one and you're character will never be as good as it could have been, and for my character set up i need to really think hard.

I'm using the Breton race, the one that's the most skilled with magic and stuff, but i don't use magic, except for the healing spells. I go the thief/warrior route, more suitable for the Kajit race but i'll be damned if i play as a frigin cat.

I already had to stat the game over a few times because of a mixture of glitches and just bad decisions on my part. Glitch wise being it snows EVERYWHERE, inside, outside, underground, in the forest, EVERYWHERE! Then one time i loaded a save and was stuck half way through the floor, that one was a bitch. Then the bad choices were mainly involving the Efficient Leveling thing. Stats were amazing but equipment sucked and all of the deadra were already at their hardest stages so i just got owned left and right inside the oblivion gates. So this time i'm just gonna have fun with it, still getting Intelligence to 100 before LVL 10 and gonna try to get speed to 80 but if i don't it's not gonna kill me, i still got 40 more levels to go.

Stat wise if anyone's curious

-Getting the Thief as the birth sign

-Making a custom class "Ex-Assassin" for the role-play thing.

-Intelligence and Speed for the 2 attributes

as for the 7 stats i'm thinking i'll get

-Acrobatics

-Blade

-Light Armor

-Marksman

-Sneak

-Armorer

-either Mercantile, Alchemy, some mage spell or Athletics, haven't decided.

and i admit it, i am a nerd. hahaha

The main thing that's interesting me in the game is a few quests i overlooked. One of them involving the killing of a unicorn, then the DLC orrarey or however the hell it's spelled. And probably a few small ones i never found so at least there's some new stuff still.

I love the temples in this game, they got traps! Good traps too, can nearly kill you on the harder difficulty settings. trip wires, spike floors, smashing walls, crumbling floors, poison gas, so much fun! All they need now is one of those closing walls, where they close in from all sides like in tomb raider 2, then i'd be in heaven.

i wish i could sue Konami for this shit

20:59 Mar 17 2010
Times Read: 638

i swear my friend was right, whenever a game company tries to intervene and fix a problem, rather than letting the players work it out, it fucks up the game.

On Metal Gear Online some genius - who should have him and his family shot - decided to ban accounts that exit a match, and this is in-discriminant. No other game does this. COD4 you're free to leave all the matches you want, same with battlefield, armored core and as far as i know every online game out there. But no, if you decide to exit a match for whatever reason, you'd better find something else to do for an hour or more because you're "restricted" from playing. I don't even leave matches for bad reasons. Today i exited out because people were breaking the rules and the host didn't do anything about it. The ruel was no spawn camping, half way through the match the whole enemy team set up camp right around our spawn and as soon as we spawned we were gunned down on the spot. So i left, now i'm "restricted" from playing for god knows how long. want my fucking money back for this piece o' shit. I didn't buy the fucking game just so i couldn't get past the log-in screen god damn it.

same shit happened with Runescape back when it was a good game. There used to be so much freedom in that game, then the company went on an all out campaign to stop people from buying items with real cash and getting ripped off. Honestly if someone is dumb enough or has so much money to throw around on Runescape scams, that's their problem. People need to learn from their mistakes not have the ability to make mistakes erased. Now all you can really do in that game is the quests and to be honest the quests suck major ass.

Then there's Armored Core. The company decided to decrease the ability to make fast robots so that even the suckiets players could stand a chance, but this opened up the way for all the missile whores to step in and destroy the game. Now that we're all too slow to avoid the shit loads of missiles coming at us, all they had to do to win was press the fire button once or twice, some game. Again, if you suck at the game, practice and get better, don't demand the game be toned down to your shitty standards.

it's days like these i hate the online community.

Deadfrontier

05:26 Mar 17 2010
Times Read: 640

Decided to play dead frontier again, and kicked some major zombie ass! Made it all the way to the opposite side of the city, as deep in as you can go on the east side. Kinda got my ass kicked there but not before i stocked up on enough rare items to retire. hahaha What finally got me were these long arm zombies. Long as hell reach and while they are easy to kill in small groups, when a horde of 12 storm at you from all sides...it's not fun. I go for the low HP, high speed and high critical approach in combat so while i can hold my own, all it takes it one hit and it''s game over. would have been a moral killer except i got enough kills for a level up so my health is automatically restored upon respawn. only huge sucky thing is all my items are gonna have to be sold at a lower price now because of where i am. they're worth more further into the city but they're sold where your location is, so even though i put them for sale deeeeeep in the city, they're now only for sale back at the new player area....so shit.

fun as hell game though i gotta say. Best browser zombie game i've ever played, and that's saying something. hahaha

MGS series complete

06:21 Mar 16 2010
Times Read: 644

Finally, finally beat MGS 4 on extreme. Had to abandon the LTL stuff during act 3 though but i still got no alerts or continues. Although Ocelot nearly did me in on the final fight. Now i'm just waiting for the long ass credits and horrible credits song to pass to i can see my stuff!

God i hate the credits song. it's the same fucking line over and over and over and over and over and OVER!!!

That last boss fight though has to be the most awesomest thing i've ever done! I didn't know the health didn't regenerate between stages like it does on normal so i kinda got reckless during the MGS 2 part, then nearly had a heart attack when i saw my small ass health bar on the MGS 3 part. hahaha It was so bad ass though, counter after counter after counter. We were both doing those flip reversals on each other, combine that with the music and you've got yourself one intense fucking fight!

it pained me to kill Ocelot though, like it always does. Ocelot is my idol, doesn't matter he's a fictional character, so to kill him kinda really sucks.

The fight with Mantis was a bitch though. I didn't realize that when she hits you you drop the dolls, so after one lucky swing i see her pick up both dolls again and am like "holy shit!"

The other bosses couldn't touch me though, not even Vamp although he came fucking close every few seconds with his knife dances and shit.

The metal gear fight was easy though, never let the RAY get close to me, kept him at bay thankfully.

And crying wolf never stood a chance. I don't care if she can smell me, she can't hit me! Nothing can top the sniper duel between The End though. Best sniper duel in the series.

The ocelot fight at the end has to be the best fight in the series though, hands down.

Also the tranq gun saved my ass with the Gekko. If you tranq them enough in the legs they go numb and start thrashing around, you can just walk right on by. That was the only thing that saved me in the blast furnace. Before i remembered that i was sitting in a corner for literally a half hour like "what the fuck am i gonna do?"

I wanna know what the voice of god is! is that just a joke or does hideo kojima really say something in game? never found that.

i would try for the Big Boss ranking but i've got no use for the face camo. yeah it'd be funy to see the soldiers run away from me but that'd mean i'd have to do all this shit on extreme again under an EXTREME time limit. and that's just not worth it.

ok final stat time - with bad ass western metal gear music!

time - 18:01:59 - ouch

continues - 0

Alerts - 0

Kills - 68 - mostly FROGS

Recovery items - 23

Weapon types - 58

flashbacks - 324- hahaha

special items - not used

Title of - Octopus - yay stealth!

and of course i got the stealth camo to screw around with so that'll be fun.

i think to screw around i'll use the rebel disguises and move with the rebel forces, kinda like part of their army, could be interesting. Score definitely won't count in that run. hahaha

and i got a little while to get my ass handed to me on MGO too. hahaha nah think i'll save that for tomorrow. womder what i'm gonna play next...?

My first day back from spring break and fuck am i tired. I guess staying up till 6am all week took it's toll but it was worth it damn it!

Didn't help that i had art appreciation today. I was a zombie going in and i'm nodding in and out of sleep now that i'm out. It wouldn't be so bad if the class wasn't held in a warm, dark room but as it is it's the absolute perfect condition for nap time. It's freakin torture.

I should be allowed to sleep in there though. I got a damn 100 average an i'm focusing so much on staying awake that i don't even pay attention to the lectures so it wouldn't really change anything, except i'd leave class refreshed instead of zombified.

Got psychology and english tomorrow though, my two favorite classes. just wish i put one of them on monday so i'd be more motivated to come on those days.

and i'm sorry but if someone skips the mid-term they deserve the 0. Such an easy class why in the hell would you skip? I know this class is full of 1st year students and shit but i'm first year too and i know exactly how everything works.

need sleep.....

MGS 4 - progress

07:27 Mar 14 2010
Times Read: 647

So far i've made it to the 1/4 point of act 2. Where you find Drebin at the end of the power station. So far it's extreme difficulty, 0 kills 0 alerts, 0 continues and about 10 heart attacks. hahaha

Had only 1 close call in act 1 when a squad of soldiers decided to flank some rebels out of no where. If it wasn't for someone getting a lucky shot on a PMC troop and a convenient box to my left i would have lost the 0 alerts there.

Then i nearly fucked it all up at the start of act 2. Tried to save the hostages and ended up turning that whole ordeal into one huge cluster fuck of a battle. Missed 1 shot with the mk 22 and then caution status was up. The rebels tried to stage a break out, got gunned down, then the PMC search team swarmed into the area and i nearly got seen 3 freakin times.

The taking of the power station was easy thank god. Used the rebel uniform to sneak onto the over watch ledge and just went to town with the tranq sniper rifle. The rebels secured the place and that was almost that. On my way down a PMC started to wake up, just had time to roll behind him and hold him up.

Decided to call it quite there for the night since my reaction time's lacking like a bitch. All i need is 1 mistake tonight to fuck it all up. As of right now the only part i'm worried about is act 4 with the AIs. I should do fine up until that point.

Decided to download and listen to the ipod podcasts in the game to see how the game programmers did things. And i gotta say...my way is better. hahaha

I did learn that Regain is a real drink and that the Calorie mate is a real food, and i really wanna try one of those now. hahaha Consider that a small life goal. hahaha As far as the hidden items they've mentioned i found everything already, and got pictures to prove it! hahaha

These are hilarious to listen to though i'll give them that, they definitely had fun doing these ipod things.

MGS 4 - final fight

20:41 Mar 13 2010
Times Read: 653

Before i start the game i had to play the final boss a few times. I have a save right at the final part on normal. What is the difference between thew 2 normal difficulties anyway? An easy and a hard normal? Seems kinda redundant.

Anyway, that fight is so damn fun! I love the evenly matched ones where Snake and Ocelot are getting the crap kicked out of each other.

That fight has to be the best boss fight in all of game history. hahaha It goes through all 4 MGS games in one awesome fight. Although the moves really don't change until the MGS 3 part. I'm excited to play this one on extreme. Probably gonna bet my ass kicked by anything and everything that crosses my path but it'll be an interesting challenge. I hope Ocelot gets some new moves.

it pains me to have to kill Ocelot...so i didn't. hahaha let him kill me at the very end of both fights. Noticed something kinda funny too. If you hit "exit" at the game over screen ocelot says "it's not over yet!" then the continue button is highlighted again. I was tempted to press it and see if anything new would happen but i'll save that for later. In the mood to do some sneaking in a war zone.

*also the PMC commercials weirded my dad out. hahaha he came in in the middle of the game show one and thought it was an actual show. hahaha I wonder how many commercials they have on here, i see new ones every single time i play this game and i played it at least 5 times since i got it. hahaha

Kinda breezed through MGS 1 even on Hard. Got seen a few times though, adjusting to the old mechanics was a tad bit harder than i expected.

Played the Twin Snakes remake because i honestly like it better. The old MGS was great but if i can have the same story experience with a better visual experience then i say go for it!

I didn't die though although i came close at the end of the game.

I love that torture scene. I stayed in it till Grey Fox broke me out. Started making funny jokes during the torture scenes. In between each shock i was like :is that all you got? More damn it! C'mon i'm just starting to get a buzz!" Then with the last one i was like "5:0 bitch! 5:0!" hahaha it was fun.

The sniper duel with Wolf was so damn easy. Nothing like the End's. The CQC fight at the end really got me wanting to play MGS 4 for the duel with Ocelot but i gotta wait and bat 2.

Hard with radar off, i can already tell you i'm gonna get seen a few times, probably when opening doors. hahaha

This was such a great idea to play all these again. Love these games!

Bad Company 2

19:56 Mar 09 2010
Times Read: 668

Got and beta Bad Company 2 today. Great game, with an actual storyline this time. hahaha Doesn't mention anything about the gold from the first one though. It makes references to the Russian general with the golden helicopter but not the gold, so either the developers are just gonna say that they failed to get it or they decided to stay in the military after getting it.

The storyline is actually really good. Not Modern Warfare 2 good but very close behind, surprised the hell out of me to be honest. The game starts in WW2 for the first mission, very important to the storyline, then goes to the Bad Company squad from the first game.

The game went with the regenerating health feature that most FPS games are using but they actually have a very subtle explanation for it. When your health regenerates you hear the injector noise you heard in the first game when you use it.

They made this one a lot harder too. Keep in mind this is on the hardest difficulty so i'm not 100% if they will be exactly the same way on the lowers ones but

-Your health takes a long while to regenerate

-Almost every engagement has 1 or 2 or 10 soldiers with RPGs and in the later levels the game is unforgiving with its checkpoints.

The game is hilarious though! Laughed so hard i almost cried on a few parts. And the in game duologue between the squad is a lot better on this one. The squad gets into some really long winded conversations. For example, I was lining up the shot on an enemy solder with my sniper rifle when Haggerd starts talking about this buddy who died. The conversation spills off of that to Haggerd shaving his beard and a few other small things and the whole time i'm listening and watching the guy through my scope. Conversation lasted around 3 minuets and then i finally took my shot. hahaha

Now i get to play the online. I'm not 100% sure if they included this or not but based on my time on single player, i think they put the parachutes back! Which means i get to do my spec ops assaults again like on MW 2. I miss those assaults. hahaha

Only thing i don't like about the game is that you can not go prone. There were os many times where going prone would have saved my ass. PUT PRONE BACK IN GOD DAMN IT!!!

MGS 3 - complete

07:05 Mar 08 2010
Times Read: 676

Finally got done MGS 3, took nearly 20 damn hours but damn it was a fun 20 hours!

The only boss fight that i got me killed fighting was the one against Volgin, i don't care what difficulty you fight him on he is a BITCH!

End game stats are

Play time - 19: 54: 52

Saves - 15

Continues - 1 - VOLGIN!!!!

Alert mode - 0

Humans killed - 75. All but 7 of them was from the bike chase sections at the end of the game, i'm sure as hell not ussing LTL gear when people are shooting at me. hahaha

Seriously injured - 11 times, mainly from Volgin

Total damage - 4 life bars...again Volgin

Life Med used - 3

Meals eaten - 35

Special items - Not used

Title of - Tsuchinoko, which is that rare sneak you're supposed to find to get the infinity face paint.

It was funny with the Shagohod fight, it was charging at me and i just went prone in the middle of it and it drove right over my head. I'm just sitting there for a seconding thinking "I can not believe that worked!!!"

That last part with the enemy soldiers was easy as hell, even if Eva's stamina was constantly dropping to shit. All i had to do was set up claymore landmines, only needed 3. The squad charges through the forest, point man gets blown to hell and then the rest are too scared to advance for like 10 seconds.

Honestly i don't know what the soldiers' deal is. If it were me, as soon as the guy who signs the checks is dead - Volgin - i'm out of there. No need to risk your life trying to kill a guy who already killed your boss and a whole damn special forces team.

Aside from when the Boss managed to get close to me the fight was easy. For the most part i managed to keep her at a safe distance with the SVD. Killed her before even the 5 minuet mark was reached. she's the only boss i didn't use LTL gear against because that would just be insane.

I kinda feel bad for snake. He accomplished a lot and absolutely nothing at the same time. His whole mission was staged if you think about it. Everyone, save for Volgin, protected snake. They made him work for his protection - boss fights and all - but really everyone who fought him, fought him with the intention of losing.

Ocelot does the same thing in MGS 1, he fights Snake first as kind of a training thing for Snake, then has Grey Fox come in and interrupt the fight so neither one of them kills each other. I would go so far as to say Ocelot getting his hand cut off was part of the plan too although that is up for debate. I know he uses that to his advantage in 2 and 4 but i don't know if that is exactly how he intended Fox to interrupt the fight. hahaha one hell of an excuse to retreat though, damn.

It's kinda cool how Volgin is the one who inspired Ocelot to use the electro-shock torture he used in MGS 1. The creators did an absolutely perfect job of tieing in even the smallest of details.

Also, anyone else reading this figure out Ocelot was ADAM before it told you at the end? I figured that out about mid way through the game.

Now it's time to play the NES metal gears! This should be interesting.

MGS 3 - final stretch

23:20 Mar 07 2010
Times Read: 679

In the last stretch of the game now, just got out of the jail cell and i'm currently hiding under one of those metal crates in the area you first used to get into the base. So far no one saw me, barely.

If bu some miracle i manage to make it to the sewer area, i'll have the Stealth Camo in the bag. I know how to do the escorting EVA without being seen, this part here is what'll make or break me. I could never do it on extreme so i'm really motivated to at least do it on Hard, normal was too easy.

I'll be updating this with what happens, it might take me a while though cuz for this part i'm back to sloth mode. hahaha

*I did it! Fuck yeah! Managed to escape from the jail without being seen. Only had 2 close calls too.

ok, so what i did is...

-As soon as i left the building i got against the wall and waited for the guard directly south to move, from there i crept up behind him and punched to till he was knocked out. hahaha close call 1.

-Then i went directly south and hugged the wall till i got to a duct that i found out was there from the Rikov fun.

-From there i stayed under the metal crates and crept through when the soldier walked past. Then went straight up and went through the door to the northern part of the base.

-From there i ran straight across to the left to the door to the west side, where the scape route is, then it got to the fucking annoying part.

-I didn't see the search light because of how dim it was and nearly ran into it. hahaha close call 2.

-Then i went over to the tanks and stayed on the side nearest the search light until the guard in the center turned his back and the guard way ip at the top started going along the long road. Then i rain up along the tanks and got under the car. When it was clear i got against the box just above the car and waited for the guard to pass. Then i speed crawled across the street and did the slow step thing past the convincingly placed sleeping dog and got into the sewers.

Now i just gotta pull this off on Extreme and i'll be the sneaking master! hahaha

MGS 3 - captured

22:43 Mar 07 2010
Times Read: 681

Just finished the part where Snake's captured in the main base. Still 7 kills with 0 detections. They added a lot more guards to the place on Hard but i still infiltrated the place like a pro thanks to this new tactic i learned. When the soldiers are distracted and see you, you have a second to get them in a CQC hold before they do anything. So what i'd do in some situations is knock on a wall, and just before the soldier rounds the corner to investigate i'd get them in a hold, interrogate them and then push them to the ground to knock them out. Didn't learn shit from the interrogations though except "this place is really big" to which i wish snake could say "no shit" can't believe i just learned that after how many times and difficulties i've beaten this game. hahaha might even run through extreme again....later, way, way later.

Then i spent like a half hour screwing around with the Rikov costume and got my silenced assault rifle from the armory.

I love how Ocelot saves the day in the torture chamber. it really doesn't look like it your first time through but after you beat the game and understand all that goes on you see how smart he was there, even know he did kinda screw it, he still saved the day. hahaha

Now i get to the Sorrow and do my little walk through the underworld river thingy. My guess is it's only gonna take me about 20 seconds. hahaha 7 unlucky guards and the bosses and i'm done!

But first i'm gonna play that bonus game you get for going to sleep in the jail cell. hahaha so many awesome things with this game damn. Can't help but think 1 and 2 are gonna be boring compared to this, i hope i'm wrong but i so think i'm right.

MGS 3 - The End

Times Read: 690

Got to and beat the end. So far i only had to kill 7 people in total, and got 0 detections. Came close to 1 detection though but this hallowed out log saved my ass.

I did tranq a shit load of people though but that's ok. For all they know they've just suddenly developed narcolepsy. hahaha

The fight with The End is always so much fun. I love that whole duel in the wilderness thing. Although i quickly went from the "hunted" to the "hunter".

The bastard got me good though in the beginning. I found his position and was gonna try to sneak up on him to get his Moss Camo. I worked all the way around the damn area, got up to his position and when i finally get up there, he's gone. Then i see the glint of his scope in the distance followed by a gunshot, a tranq dart nails Snake in the shoulder and i nearly got knocked out. hahaha

I managed to sneak up on him the next time though, i love how confused he is too, when you say "Freeze" he's like "How did you...!?" hahaha took me 3 damn tries to get the Moss camo from him, i think it's random because i remember it only taking 1 once and 4 the other time. I love that camo, you can actually get 100% on the camo index in grass and tall brush and when you're in direct sunlight you regenerate stamina. Not that i need that, i got a shit load of food and most of it's either rations or instant noodles.

I love how The End tries to sneak up on me as much as i try to sneak up on him. One time i was in this grassy patch on the edge of the cliff just surveying the area with my sniper rifle, i was thinking of killing a rabbit for food too but that's a different story. All of a sudden i hear the End's heavy breathing and my heart stops. hahaha I lokk away from the scope and his got his rifle pointed right at my head. I managed to role and hit him with the back of Snake's feet and the shot ended up hitting a tree but it still scared me. The second time i did that i put a claymore landmine down a few feet behind me. I'm scanning the area and then BAM Won't be trying that again will ya bitch!? hahaha

The fight lasted nearly an hour which is nice but i think i'm the only one alive who can appreciate that kinda thing. hahaha in between the sniper shootouts he and i were hunting for food to keep our stamina up and for him to stay awake. The End hit a rabbit for me at one point which i thought was hilarious. I was prone and crawling up to a snake with my knife, i hear "Goodnight" then BAM and then this rabbit to my left gets nailed and i'm like "Thanks buddy!"

The fight ended awesome too. I was running, no good cover and i didn't wanna be prone when/if he saw me. I saw the glint of his scope on a cliff, he saw me running, he fired, i dropped to the ground and his shot missed. Then not a second later i shot him in the head with my SVD. Such a great fight.

I love the MGS games, they're like video game art. hahaha All of the games are so much alike yet so incredibly different at the same time, you're never doing the same thing twice, it's amazing. MGS 3 looks freakin amazing for being 6 years old too, damn.

Hideo Kojima is a god!

3 was great. A leap forward compared with the second one.

I managed to get the moss camo myself but unlike you I was never worried about the amount of corpses I left in my wake. In fact I think I slit almost every throat I came across in that game.

I normally do that as well, this is my first run going the non-lethal route. Makes it a little more challenging since you can't permanently remove the hostiles.

MGS 3 - The Fear

Times Read: 692

So, last night at about 3am i got to The Fear boss and he more or less kicked my ass. Playing on Hard so he's got a shit load of extra moves. I was kinda joking at how he beat me because i was tired but that is actually the case. This morning when i was playing i wiped the floor with him, it was kinda sad actually.

Whenever he'd kill an animal to eat i'd steal it so his stamina was shit 99% of the battle, which made his camo flicker on and off constantly, which allowed even me with my shitty vision to see him without the use of thermal. The damn battery still almost ran out, it would have gone out if i didn't find one i missed on my way to the fight.

I didn't save last night so i got pushed back about 4 hours of game play. Kinda a cheap tactic but if it truly was that the Fear was a beast, i would have died again, and ran the risk of dieing multiple times. hahaha but i found an extra battery on a scientist and that brought it up to 5.

Also i didn't even notice this last night but he has a signature stance to the move where he shoots the bolts down at you, the ones where you just gotta keep running. Kinda ashamed i didn't realize this yesterday.

He only managed to hit me twice because of my old ass controller. The left analog stick got jammed in the right position so Snake went out of cover before i wanted him to and got pegged twice by the rapid fire crossbow.

Aside from that i had the Fear on the ropes the whole time which is nice, thermal still came in handy, really glad i remembered to get those at the beginning of the game.

Now it's off to be hunted by the End! Gonna have so much fun with this!

MGS 3 ocelot duel

03:03 Mar 07 2010
Times Read: 707

ok, the fight with ocelot in MGS 3, THAT is my favorite part of the game, pushing the fight with the End to number 2.

Especially on Hard difficulty oh my freakin god! He might be the first boss of the game but that doesn't stop him from being a bad ass!

I love how he learns how to use revolvers in the middle of the fight. He starts off using them like anyone would normally use a handgun, just shooting. And he reloads slow as hell. Then he starts learning how to make the bullets ricochet and how ot aim quicker and reloads like a freakin god. It takes him about 60 second to reload at the start, then when he's at his prime he can fully reload 2 revolvers in 10 seconds and no matter where you are he can hit you, if you don't beat him quick he will kill you, it's awesome!

Ended up beating him in a "quick draw" duel. Where you holster your gun and stand in the center of the area. He walks out to the center and then you and him draw your weapons and fire a single shot. of course whoever draws first wins. We were both at so low health that either one of us would die if we missed. I shot first so he didn't have time to miss. hahaha Such an epic fight! Love this game!!!

playing all of the MGS games!

23:04 Mar 06 2010
Times Read: 711

So, to kick off my spring break, break i decided to play all the games that i need to intensely focus on, and wouldn't have the time to play during school, even something as simple as college. I decided to play all of the metal gear games i own in chronological order so MGS 3, 1, 2 and finally, 4. I'm gonna try to find pc versions of the old, old metal gear games for nostalgia purposes but that's not a guarantee.

Gonna be updating this very frequently with how this is going, partly in case anyone's interested and mainly to reflect on all the cool things i've done so far. And writing gives my eyes a quick break.

***MGS 3 - Virtuous Mission - Hard Difficulty

I'm starting a new game on Hard mainly because i memorized the routes of the guards on normal and playing normal would be more or less going through the motions than sneaking. Most of the routes will be the same on Hard but the guards have better sight, you've got less maximum ammo, more soldiers and your stamina depletes faster. I would have gone to EXTREME again but that's just too much. I did beat it on extreme before but it felt more like work than a game. hahaha Hard is the new Normal, as it is with most games i play.

Anyway. I am proud to say i got through the whole mission without killing anyone, or being detected by anyone. I only had to tranq 4 guards out of the 15-20 that are there so in my opinion that is freakin awesome!

Gotta say playing MGO really helped with the stealth. I've always been paranoid about the stealth on 3 and 4 because of the % meter in the corner. I'd obsess about keeping it in the 90% range and thus move very, very, very slowly through areas. After playing MGO, specifically the Sneaking Missions, I now know how visible you are at different % because of how often i managed to see Snake when i was hunting him. So i'm able to move through areas a hell of a lot faster. I'm not rushing but i'm not moving like a sloth either.

I almost got seen twice if it wasn't for fast reflexes. The first time was when i got these guards hit by hornet's nest. The first guard who gets hit runs and ultimately gets the other guards hit as well, and if you time it right you can breeze through that area while they;re all running away. But, one guard was off to the side and didn't get hit by the hornets, i didn't notice this until i was like 20 feet from him, as soon as i saw he was still paroling i hit the deck and got him with a tranq. He was in the process of turning around when i got him, nearly had a heart attack. hahaha

The second time was when i was infiltrating the building that has Sokolov. I tend to favor going around the eastern perimeter and using the roo access ladder to get to him, i think it would honestly be easier to go through the ruined part of the building but i'm not gonna experiment with it. I got the guard near the ladder with a tranq but on Hard there is actually another guard by him. So i was running up to the ladder and i hear a "Huh?" from the guard, i put my back up against the tree thinking "oh hell, here we go" but then the guard said "What's wrong?" which meant he was looking at the sleeping guard. When he was walking to the guard I got him with a CQC knock out and went on my way, it was so cool!

I love how detailed this game is. Not only with the sneaking but with the general information. They tied the game's story with the turbulent events of the 60s and it was to the point where it really, really could have happened. I think they changed 1 detail about the events and that was it. And they had footage of President Kennedy and everything so it really gives you the feel of the times. And not only that, the information you get about the different flora and fauna in that area is amazing. Not sure how much of it is real but either way the background details about the animals is amazing.

And i get to see my video game idol, Ocelot, starting out, which is always so much fun to watch, even though he gets made a fool of in the beginning of the game, he is still a bad ass and shows it from the mod point of the game onward.

I can't wait till I fight the End. That is by far my favorite part of the whole game. Just that 1 on 1 hunt is amazing! I might use LTL weapons against him if i can. He's being nice and using a tranq sniper rifle on me so i should return the favor. and now, back to the game!!!

***MGS 3 - first major checkpoint

Just got done the part where you face off against the Ocelot unit a second time. Leading up to that point i had to kill 2 people, no way around them and i didn't get my MK22 back yet. Everyone else I managed to evade. The first 2 sentries who spot the destroyed prob had no clue i was there. I was pressed up against a really dark part of the cliff with 95% cammo. They ran right past me to search the area and i just ran through where i needed to go.

The ocelot unit fight was awesome! At first i was going to either hide in the locker in the room i was in and get them from behind or use a smoke grenade to pick them off when they shot down the door. I scrapped my second plan and used this little duct behind the bed to get into the under croft, no sooner had i done that they burst into the room and one of the soldiers actually lit half a clip into the locker. I'm thinking "Smart person! Glad i didn't hide there." I actually managed to take them all down without killing any of them thanks to the MK22, CQC and a stun grenade, it was fun!

So far it's 2 kills, and 0 detections, those are the only stats i'm worried about. hahaha

***MGS 3 research facility

So far so good, just finished the infiltrating the the research base. OKB-754 or whatever it's called. So far no detections and i only killed 6 people not including the Pain. I got a lot of people with the tranq gun but they're alive, just taking a nice nap.

The part with the Sorrow is gonna be funny, gonna have less than 1- ghosts to wonder past. I remember my first play through that damn walk was never ending! For anyone who hasn't played the game, depending on how many people you kill, the ghosts of them come back when you're walking along this river, if you make it ot the end you get a bonus item. If you kill a shit load of people you basically got a mile long walk. hahaha for me it's gonna be like, 10 feet. if i can keep the non lethal thing going.

So far the only people i've killed are the ones that i couldn't risk waking up. If they woke up they'd call HQ saying they were jumped, then the recon team would come in and scan every damn inch of the area, i can't have that so i made sure they'd never wake up.

i also killed 2 dongs but hell, who cares? hahaha i'm kidding, i don't like killing the puppies, had a harder time pulling the trigger than i did with the soldiers but dogs are a bitch to sneak past.

Right now i'm waiting for that rare mini dragon thing to bite my mousetrap, i forget what bonus thingy you get from getting it but i'm getting it to be on the safe side.

The Devil's Tuning Fork - game

07:26 Mar 05 2010
Times Read: 718

I found this little game while looking for the Devil's Tuning Fork illusion earlier today.

It's made by students, i think. Not 100% sure but i'm guessing it's made in some kind of game design class soemwhere. hahaha was half asleep when i originally found it so i don't know the design details but it's a fun little game.

It's free and quick to download, a simple Google search should bring you straight to the download page.

basically it's a movement riddle game. You use the tuning fork to emit sound waves, doesn't actually make any noise but you need them to see where you are, without them the area is pitch black.

It's got a lot of different little riddles too, like the moving hammers over the thin passage, jumping puzzles and getting sound waves to reflect off of these mirrors.

t's also really short, 3 levels long counting the tutorial. Which was a little disappointing because i was really enjoying myself, then the credits came up. hahaha

Only bad thing about it is that EVERYTHING is comprised of moving black and white lines. It is seizures hell, which is why they have a seizures warning before you play. I thankfully don't get seizures but even i had to take some Tylenol after i was finished playing because it gave me a decent headache. hahaha

The last stage "Up" was my favorite. Partly because despite how low tech the game was, i still had an "oh my god" moment, when i thought i was almost through the level, looked up and saw a shit load of riddles still to come. Also had a moment where i opened a door, and one of these little objects you're supposed to collect was just sitting in the middle of an empty room and i'm just thinking "what's the catch....what is the catch?" I also kept myself amused by making a seemingly never ending amount of "up" related puns. hahaha

it took me about an hour and a half to play through, great time killer too, glad i found it.

*Just as a side thing, i tried to show my grandpa the devil's turning fork illusion but since he's extremely freakin religious, as soon as he heard the name he not only refused to see it but started cussing at me saying he will not have me looking at satanic objects in his house. hahaha if he wasn't so old i'd back-hand him or something.

Fallout 3 - it's just cigarettes!!!

02:13 Mar 05 2010
Times Read: 721

This was hilarious.

I'm playing the Broken Steel DLC, going into the water purifier to check everything out and I had Charon and Dogmeat with me. I'm just chilling out listening to the funny conversations between Bigsley and the other scribes. Then i go to sit down in a chair that's far off to the right inside Bigsley's office but accidently stole a pack of cigarettes that were next to the chair. All conversation stops in the building and Bigsley says "That's not yours!" This is followed by a slew of gunfire, I turn around to see Charon opening fire on Bigsley and Dogmeat runs into the main area and starts mauling the scribes who have drawn their pistols. Bigsley is a character who can't die so Charon keeps shooting him down every time he stands up. Dogmeat kills 2 of the 4 scribes and the other 2 attempt to run away but one gets her leg blown off by charon and then Dogmeat ripped the others arm off. And I'm just standing there in the middle of all of this like "um....." finally i just said out loud "It was just cigarettes!"

I reloaded the autosave at the entrance because that was just too wrong but damn it was hilarious!!!

another boring day in college

Times Read: 728

I kinda find this funny. While on my way to the library i got stopped by this....person, not sure what he'd be called. I know he's not a professor. Spokesperson i guess. I must have looked like i was pretty pissed off while walking because he gave me this card for a student support group. On the back of the card it says stuff about college being "full of new adventures and anxieties" and gave a number to call, more or less like a free counselor for students. This made me laugh like hell since i was just daydreaming, wasn't pissed off in the slightest.

I honestly have not been stressed out by college at all. I've been stressed out "in" college but that's just because i was thinking about bad things going on at home. College has been a breeze.

I'm gonna save that card and give it to my friend Jon since he could actually use it. Not that he's going to but it'll be good for a joke.

I sure as hell don't need a counselor to help me with my problems.....that's what my other personalities are there for. hahaha

i should have said that to the spokesperson guy. if i get stopped again i'm gonna. hahaha

Fallout 3 stuff

06:32 Mar 03 2010
Times Read: 732

Damn I love this game!

I got such an awesome character, like a freakin god, it's hilarious.

The initial special stats were

Strength - 4

Perception - 5 (i think, 4 or 5, can't remember)

Endurance - 1

Charisma - 1

Intelligence - 10

Agility - 9

Luck - 9

Playing on the Hard setting so things are extremely challenging but not too unrealistic. I stopped playing very hard because of how even an enemy can easily survive a stealth-critical head shot with a sniper rifle.

Now, at LVL 25 the stats are

Strength - 5

Perception - 6 (armor bonus)

Endurance - 5

Charisma - 5

Intelligence - 10

Agility - 10 (bobble head)

Luck - 10 (Bobble head)

Al LVL 20 all stats will be 10 thanks to the plan i worked out.

Currently all of my stats are 100 except for unarmed and heavy weapons. Literally everything else is maxed out.

Karma wise it's at Very Good.

I find this amusing, i made a jack of all trades character that is both skilled in and master of practically everything. Yet when i look at character builds on websites all jac of all trade characters have that "master of none" flaw. Even without the DLC, on like my other 10 play-throughs, by LVL 20 everything but unarmed, heavy weapons and speech were maxed out, and aside from the endurance and charisma, the special stats were the same. It's not hard at all to make a character like this which is why i'm so confused at people's lack of innovation.

The jack of all trades thing does fit the real me because i am awesome at just about everything. Arrogant but true. Everyone i know knows this, i act like an idiot but damn am i awesome.

I always try to make my character in RPG games a copy of myself, i know the object of these games is to "role play" as someone you otherwise would not be but i love seeing what i'd really do in situations. I even make the characters look as much like me as i can, and i cam really damn close with Fallout.

As for my character's look, I reverse pick-pocketed Vans for his overcoat, waring a head wrap and tinted glasses. Defense sucks, would be a max of 15 if it wasn't for the cyborg perk. But damn does he look cool! I got that "wild west" look and the Blackhawk revolver just completes it so we.

my weapons are

-Perforator - silenced rifle from DLC

-Metal Blaster- Energy weapon from DLC

-Victory Rifle - special sniper rifle

-Blackhawk - special revolved

-The Terrible Shotgun - special shotgun

Got a weapon for literally every situation, it's awesome.

That and the team i put together make up for my lack of defense.

I got Charon and decked him out in Ranger combat armor and combat helmet. And i'm using Dogmeat, who, thanks to the DLC is leveled with me and can actually kill me with ease if he ever got hostile. hahaha

The first real mission this team went on was the assault of the Capital building. I scouted it out and between the Talon Company mercs, Enclave troops and Super mutant masters and overlords everywhere, there was no way in hell i'd be able to clear it out, even with all of my stealth tactics. So I recruited Charon and decked him out, got dogmeat and then assaulted the place from the Seward Square entrance. So much freakin fun!

I always love that area of the world map because of the unofficial war between Talon Company and the super mutants. So assaulting the place with my little Spec Ops team was just amazing.

We punched through Talon Company's ranks, they were under too much fire by the overlords to do any damage to us, whenever they got out of cover to shoot they were hit by a tri-laser. Then we snuck onto the stairway and just rained fire down on both sides, killed everything in about 3 minuets. Then stormed the super mutant controlled side of the building, mowed them down. Between my revolver and Charon's hyped up shotgun they didn't stand a chance.

Charon did almost get himself killed by the Behemoth but dogmeat actually took the thing down, said "good boy" like 10 times after that. hahaha

From there it was a tactical assault through the lower chambers of the facility and then we went out through the Mall entrance, Charon again almost died because of 2 overlords with tri-lasers but i barely, barely saved him thanks to my awesome assortment of weapons.

Then it was a straight walk to the Washington monument and a quick travel to Megaton, mission accomplished.

Gonna use this team until they die, and the cool thing is i have no idea when that'll happen, it might not ever happen. Makes the game interesting.

If anything is gonna kill Charon it's gonna be a damn Reaver, i fucking hate those things. They could kill me even when i got my old characters to 80 defense. So at 25...oh my. hahaha

I love how the DLC actually makes the game harder. Normally it's to give you a coll advantage but adding in the overlords and the Feral Ghoul Reavers makes me slightly scared to explore downtown DC.

I died again before all of this though. hahaha Talon Company merc with a fat-man. I saw him pull that thing out and was like "Holy shit!" tried to kill him in VATS but my 90% shot actually missed, then the thing hit me right after i exited VATS, just BOOM!!! I never saw an enemy use one of those before so that shocked the crap out of me.

I hope New Vegas is a good game. Bethesda did such an amazing job with this and, graphics aside, i didn't like the other fallout games. So i'm kinda scared that the game's going back to the original developers. They said they're still using Fallout 3 gaming engine but it's like how 2 people don't drive a car the same way. They have the engine but that doesn't mean they won't fuck it up. On the bright side if they do fuck up hopefully they'll give the rights back to Bethesda.

I'm not gonna say i'm "pro war" i don't like the killing and i know it does strain a country's resources over prolonged periods of time but, unlike way too many people, i understand the advantages and positives of war, and yes there are positives!

i wish just for a week, all armed forces in the country went off line. Let the country be absolutely and utterly vulnerable to any type of threat out there so that the fucking hippies in this country would see why we have armed forces to begin with.

-8 classes! * classes every day of the week. In the same order All year. In college the maximum classes you can have is 6 and you get to pick the times and the days!

-The ever shrinking time between classes. one year it's 7 minuets, then it's 6, then 5, then 4. I wonder if it's even lower now. Regardless of the time you got the teachers who say "I made it from one end of campus to the other on time." But they never say where they were on their route when the release bell sounded. In college the gap between classes depends on when you set the times.

-It is a mortal sin to be late. In High School when you're late to a class you get put on the "late" attendance sheet, then you get your parents called and are sent to detention if you're late more than twice. You get less of a punishment for stealing someone's cell phone. In college if you're late no one gives a crap as long as you're quiet about it.

-The "lines" of students. You know how when a group of 5+ friends decide to walk down a hallway they walk side by side, effectively making a human wall as they slowly, slowly walk down the hallway. It gets to the point where you got 6 human walls one after the other and you gotta hack n' slash your way through em.

-That illusion of freedom you get when you "pick" your classes for next semester. It's like, you're allowed to put which classes you'd "like" to take next semester but ultimately it's the vice principle and his/her secretary who decides what you'll be taking.

-state testing. Had to put this here. Most useless thing I've ever done in my life. And i've done a lot of useless things! So much is based on the state tests that the teachers are forced to teach only about what they "think" will be on the test, you end up learning the same generic information year after year because everyone's worried about failing the damn state test.

-Teacher funding. This ties in with the above. Public school is a business, not only that, it's a government run business. The salary of the teacher depends on how well they teach, and how well they teach is measure by how well the students do on the state tests. Not how well they understand the material. Anyone can use rote memory, it's basic, but you gotta do a lot more work to actually get someone to learn something. In college, they get your money before you even walk through the door so the professors can actually focus on teaching you.

think that's about it. hahaha

Fallout 3 - first time i died since the week i got it

This was a momentum killer but such an awesome death. I just gotta say that Regulator armor sucks. It looks bad ass but doesn't protect worth a damn.

so, I'm making my way to the regulator HQ to give the girl there these fingers i got off of bad people. On the way there a sentry bot ambushed me, i killed it but not before being brought to a little less than half health. Since I have only 1 END that's like 98 health.

I get inside the HQ thinking I'm safe, all of a sudden one of the regulators is sent flying off of the second floor, headless, and a Deathclaw - the strongest monster in the game - looks down at me from the top of the stairs. I had just enough time to say "Oh shit!" before the thing cut me down. Such a bad and awesome way to go. hahaha
