Remember the past for all its wisdom and grace
Charish the momentary and its smiles to come across each encountered face
Consider the forthcoming with caution as you may
But leave a few aspects up for fate to decide
And know you're not obligated to abide
Take whatever path you can, so long as you live to your potential each and every day

Well, it's not as long as most of my poems usually are, but it'll do. In my attempt to more or less get back my groove, a couple of my friends helped me to remember that my poems don't have to be long. Nor do they have to rhyme or maintain any kind of structure. A poem's only requirement is expression.
Expression has its own power, its own force, and that, is strength enough to withstand any element.
