Clean Up Your Altar Today
Take a few minutes today and make sure your altar is tidy, dust-free and not piled with mundane items like your car keys. If you don't have an altar, maybe you can dust the window sills or something.

Yesterday you made a pendulum, and now here are some tips on using it. If you didn't have time to make one, you might want to save this message until you do.
Using Your Pendulum
Pendulums are very personal divination tools, and they don't work the same way for everyone. You need to take the time to try yours out and learn how it reads. Hold the chain or cord and let the weight hang freely. Wait for it to settle and be still, then think of a question that you can quickly verify or one you already know the answer too. Concentrate, and the pendulum should start to move. Take note of how it moves (clockwise, sideways, whatever) and that is the movement for the answer to your question. You'll need to give it several trial runs in order to get the feel of the answers.
Once you think you've gotten the hang of your pendulum. Make a prediction about something you know is going to happen soon and see how accurate you are.

A quick little altar tool that you can make with little effort. Take some time today to find the perfect materials.
Make a Pendulum
You don't need a fancy piece of jewelry to use for a pendulum. Find a piece of chain, ribbon, string or yarn around 9 inches long. You'll also need something for the weight or bob at the end. You can use pretty much anything you like: a crystal or stone, an acorn, a pendant, or any small solid object that you can fasten to the end of your cord. Try to tie it evenly, so the knot isn't off to one side and that it hangs as straight as possible. Once completed, burn some incense (choose your favourite scent) and dangle the pendulum in it to purify and consecrate it. Now it's ready for use. Tomorrow, I'll explain how to use your pendulum for divination.

Did you know?
Did you know that Gerald Gardner's first published book wasn't about Wicca or witchcraft at all? His first book was actually about knives, specifically the wavy Kris blade of the Malasian peoples. The title was "Kris and Other Malay Weapons". It was several years later before he began to delve into more metaphysical subjects.

I've got a good spiritual quote today, even though it's not specifically Pagan.
Today's Quote
"True religion is real living; living with all one's soul, with all one's goodness and righteousness."
