As I lay in the field of butterflies.



The wind whispers to me,



As I run through the clouds.



The rain falls around me.



"Splish Splash, Splish Splash"



My hair is soaking, dripping with purple rain.



You take me into your arms and I am no longer cold.



My alarm clock rings,



And I cry.



Please don't take me away from my fantasy.

However, you do not care.



I could cry,



And you wouldn't be there.



I am lost in a sea of darkness,



However, no one looks for me.



I wish you would all just see,



That my soul is broken,



That I cry for help,



But who listens?



No one,



Not even you.



I always smile and laugh,



But I am hurt



And no one knows.



No one ever will,



Therefore, I will sit here in silence,



As everyone around me lives,



While I die.

I walk to it,



It beckons me further.



I am lost,



I am lost to the darkness.



I close my eyes.



When I open them I see a light,



At the end of the darkness.



It's so far away.



I reach for your hand,



To late the darkness has taken me.

Why we cut.



We cut so deep,



Watch the blood.



To mask our pain,



The scars remind us.



Of those troubled times.



What we went through.



To be who we are today.



You may not understand,



You probably never will.



But, know we have a reason,



For why we cut ourselves.



It’s to remind us of who we were,



Who we are.



To tell the story,



So we don’t have to.



It hurts to much to speak of it again.

Running in a storm.



I wish I could get away,



Stop running,



But if I stop it will catch me.



I don't want to grow up.



I don't want to leave,



But my breath is slowing.



I need to stop.



So I do,



And time catches me.
