Well, I managed to sell the rooster themed kitchen and dining linens as well as the snowflake hand towels, so yay! Less junk in my house!

I will NOT be posting new auctions this week, and probably won't have anything until AFTER I get back from the goth cruise. I don't wanna have to worry about that stuff for a bit.

In other news, my horrifically unfair negative feedback got removed! I don't know how or why it happened, but I am super glad it did. Every time I looked at my feedback rating I would get filled with rage at this guy who gave me the negative. In case you want to know:

THE UNTOLD CASE OF THE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK!

I had sold a lot of 7 comic books to someone on e-bay with a shipping price of around $7.00 (it generally averages out to $1.00 per comic) I am proud of my accurate shipping rates and have gotten really good at estimating prices for comics, usually to within $0.50. I ship via Parcel Post. I had tried Media Mail (the cheapest) but had many buyers message me about how incredibly long their orders were taking, so I switched to Parcel. Anyhoo, this guy bought these comics and he was taking his time in paying me. Then I see he has a bid on one of my current auctions, also for $7.00. Regardless, a week went by and he hadn't paid for the first auction, so I sent him a friendly reminder to pay soon. Then he wins the second auction, and tells me he isn't going to pay because my shipping costs are too high. WTF? The shipping is a flat rate and right there to see throughout the bidding process. I message back and tell him that it is fine if he wants to back out of the sale, just tell me and I'll start that process. Then he says no, he wants the comics, but how can I charge $7.00 for shipping when media mail would be $4.00 for BOTH of his wins. Well, first, he never asked to combine them, and I never offered it, and second, I ship Parcel Post as it clearly states on the auction, in all caps, mind you. Since he only now brought up combining shipping, I told him I'd look into it and message back with a new rate, to which he messaged and said never mind I'll just pay even though it is robbery. Well, I combined them, and it was about $4.00 cheaper, so I refunded him $4.00 via paypal and told him that I would never cheat a customer with inflated shipping fees. He replied with a thank you and wow you're great and you'll get "stellar" feedback for sure. Well, he gets his comics and he gives me a negative. So i ask what's the deal? He said "oops, that wasn't meant for you. I'll fix it." 30 days go by and nothing happens. I contact E-bay and tell them I have saved all of the messages this jerk sent me, and referenced how he said my feedback would be positive and that the negative was a mistake. I got an automated e-mail and a whole lot of nothin' happened.

Until now. That horrid feedback is gone. Poof. Like it never happened. I am so glad that it has returned to ether. I couldn't believe I even got it since:

1. My shipping rate and method was clearly stated in the auction

2. I gave him the opportunity to back out of the sale with no hard feelings

3. I offered to look into a reduced shipping rate if I had a day or two to do so.

4. I issued him a refund between what he paid and the actual shipping cost.

Last time I checked, people generally LIKE getting refunds.

So, I don't know how or why the negative got renegged at long last, whether he actually did file a withdrawl with e-bay or if it was my inquiry into the situation that did it. They say it is like pulling teeth to remove an erroneous feedback, and they ain't lyin', but once in a while us little people can get our justice.
