Tonight was unexpected, and almost surreal. I recently reconnected with a girl I met almost exactly 10 years ago and ended up hanging out with her and a few of her friends tonight and having a few drinks. I got very close to her at the time, but I was young and stupid, and it was a complicated situation, and we ended up losing touch. It's been probably 7 or 8 years since I've seen her, and in that time she's never been out of my thoughts for long.



Yet... after all this time, and everything we've both been through during, the connection I felt to her was crashing over me in no time at all.
