Are you ready?

You only see what you are prepared to see.

There are two sides to any situation.

You can choose to see what is bothersome, or you can choose to see what is uplifting.

You can be disheartened by the ways of the world, or uplifted by the opportunities.

You can upset at the things people do to upset you, or grateful for the things they do to uplift you.

You can be tired because the day has gone on too long, or excited because you have much left.

Only the wise make it through with a smile on their face in every situation.

Truth is born through understanding, and understanding is first accompanied by disappointment. You have to be disappointed by the nature of the world to be able to appreciate what actually makes life worth living. Appreciation comes from a childlike understanding of importance. Things that make us happy are much simpler - things that we think are important are actually quite silly. It's just the nature of humanity that helps get us swept off into a world of misunderstanding, materialism, social games, and weakness. There are things in life that can always make you happy, regardless of who or what is going in your life. An appreciation for the up, down, in, out, light, and dark nature of reality will help to understand beauty as it really is. Contrast, comparison, paradox, duality, depth, dimension, and differences create the sketches that describe out thought patterns and our conception of existence and reality. Without these descriptive forces, we would be flat, nondimensional, and would probably not move very much or have much thinking. The nature of our minds and our conception of reality is based around space. Regardless of whether or not one can see or hear or taste or smell or touch, there are things we do in thinking, dreaming and surviving that map our existence. We move forwards and backwards, we hear sounds in front of us and behind us, we feel something in out head, at our toe, and in in our stomach, we look around and witness the spatial nature of our existence.

Some would like to argue that space and time are figments of our imagination, and perhaps they are, but they are damn helpful figments. Perhaps space does not cooperate like we think it does all of the time, but it would make adjusting to a new mode of reality a lot easier if there was still some space-motion involved. Perhaps time is imaginary, an egregore: but we can use it very strongly to our adantage in that case. It allows for use to map and remap our existence on many different levels over and over again, in newer and better ways.

Instruction does not require rewiring: it requires wiring in the first place. You don't have to manipulate or change anything that is already here - you just have to believe and know. The blocks in our subconscious are temporary. We're scared of removing them because we're afraid of opportunity - if I could create my reality, what would I do? We should stop doubting ourselves and leap - leap before you look. All the greats said it - if you're in control, you're not going fast enough.

The future is in your hands - all you have to do is grasp it.

This reminds me of something Mother Teresa once said.

It's nice when you think about life, and you wonder how anyone could get through it: and then your lover calls, and suddenly, everything makes sense.

Thanks for existing. =)

Life in the 21st Century

Unfortunately, I haven't accomplished much since last time. I wrote a few new songs. I'm a lot better and faster at cut and color. I have a ridiculously hot new haircut...

Needless to say, I love it.

This was the previous incarnation of my hair...

It was ok for a while... seriously, I did like it. But my hair was suffering some damage and needed something hot, but healthy.

The rest of that would have been field jumbo... some of it might have been anyways... sorrry!

The mate and I saw wall-e this weekend...

AAAAAAAWWWWWWWWW! It was so sweet. And clever... and very, very refreshing. Nice and... clever. yeah. That's the word.

Anyways... we tried this Viatnamese spot down the street from my house, and it was amazing! The drinks were pretty exquisite, as were the spring rolls. The pho was a little heavier than we're used to, but they serve masaman too, as well as other thai dishes... so NEEDLESS to say, we'll be returning.

UNLESS! We just HAPPEN to move first! that's right, kids, we're fuckin' sick and tired of the south and ready to get out again! We'll keep our mind open, but we're fairly certain where our next 2 destination are going to be.

I almost have my license. But before I can legally chop up people's hair and charge them for it, I'll be 21 years old! Holy cow! Can you believe it? I can't. I'm growing up... not cool. I would much rather be naked, 5, and running on the beach... TRUST me.

In my 21 years, I mostly am appreciative for the best life partner that ever could exist, for a wonderful family, and though some come and go like seasons, good friends.

Hoorah for 21 years of madness!

What a beautiful life. Indeed, what a beautiful life!
