the sky isn't really there.

like air.

Now scorned by heat

the blinds tar.

You fell away to be from a far,

like a stained glass window.

Like a shield.

Colorful, beautiful, but still a shield.

like the promise,

the promise that you broke.

Now pieces remain,

but the frame still stays.

Open.

Now,

the tree named Willow.

becomes the stain,

sorrowful but alive.

Like the choice you chose to make.
