At some point everyone has to make that choice. It comes down to the wire. It’s where the rubber meets the road. It’s the crossroads.
If you don’t stand for something you fall into complacency.
The veil has always been thin around me though I try to ignore it distract but now it’s much thinner than ever.
Two weeks absorbing, processing and still no closer to being okay. I’m angry, sad, depressed. I have had to quell murder and rage that boiled deep searing my veins.
Had to pick apart the dehumanizing to see the cruel humanity of the lost and possessed.
My mind couldn’t even conceive such evil. These are the type that do evil to top the last evil that was done. Why because eventually it’s not enough they move deeper and deeper into depravity to find that rush of adrenaline, that rush of power and control. Maybe it’s not even that for some it’s just so they can feel something stirring other than a dark void of nothingness. I can’t really be sure though.
I have wept and prayed bitterly to a God I doubt because I am not powerful or many enough to stop the slaughter of the innocent.
I daydream and fantasize about the end and the justice I feel they deserve for the innocent blood they shed and minds and spirits they broke. An empath can only take so much before having to turn it all off. Now I sit here numb and apathetic the sadness still trying to poke it claws through me again as I push it down because I just can’t understand.
