I am certain Pastor Wayne Cordeiro never thought his name would be mentioned on a site like this. LOL. I have been reading a book by him (he is one of my current favorite Pastors) called Leading on Empty. It is about leadership burnout; I am currently suffering from a huge dose of leadership burnout from all aspects of my life. I have been leading a small group on this book for those who pastor people. Pastoring people does not require a formal title or formal education, it requires a call on your life.
Anyway, I digress. This week's lesson was full of amazing teachings and quotes. One of my favorites is a quote by John Powell. "The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing." Another of my favorites is from Noah Benshea. "It's the space between the notes that makes the music." How true. It is only in the rests and the pauses of life that we have the opportunity to truly quiet our souls, quiet our worldly self and be still before Him. My final favorite quote from this week's lesson is from Diane Westlake. "Whatever the struggle, continue the climb. It may only be one step to the summit."

There is no mistake made, in which we learn not a thing.
Although, I like the partial saying "Whatever the struggle, continue the climb."
