I've had both of mine operated on for different problems, it's scary but really not that bad afterwards. A little pain and a lot of stiffness to work out. Wishing her the very best of luck and a fast recovery.
PS. Tell the boss if he wants furniture moved to buy her some darn sliders, with them I can move large items all by myself without injury*
