Of Fire and Velvet

20:31 Jun 04 2008
Times Read: 608

Flooded eyes of bluest glass

seek the common darkness within

lips of fragile happiness

find blissful meaning

gilded wings set in stone

are reanimated to life everlasting

sensuous night of the full moon

cast onto the balconey

swirls and curls of smoke

spin circles around me

words are cast

upon the heart like fishers nets

sparks from finger tips

ignite like glowing embers

burst into flames of desire

.................

...........

......

..

.

ashes fall

onto our bed

they slide down your cheek

i am enveloped in the warmest embrace of love

sleep comes like honey

and touches the tongue to taste

of it's sweetness

now words are velvet

and they blanket the heart

before this night ends

I will surely die in your arms

my heart has burst.

Blue

16:31 Jun 04 2008
Times Read: 612

Poor little butterflies

wings of irradescent and gold

turn to ashes in the sky

before their story is told.

I am divine in my defeat

I am fully aware,

that I can live my life

but never go anywhere.

Rot the fruit

of past told lies

I know the truth

when I gaze in those eyes.

Not once have I seen

evidence of me

I have not touched a soul

I have ceased to be.

If blue were like this

then all the world would be

drowned underwater

covered by the sea.
