A vampry is the exact oppiste of a human because of them being damned they have no soul but there shell remains behind still alive. And thus with no soul of there own they must feed on humans that have souls. This being the only way to keep them alive. If they feed regularly then they replinish there own life source. This is why they live for so long and thus becoming what we call immortals.
