The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

I'm surprised by how easy this site is to navigate. It will still take me some time to set everything up but I'm a sucker for talking about myself and the typing makes me look busy.



As I go through rating profiles I notice a pattern. A pattern, I realize, that I'm a part of. Ooh, ending a sentence with a preposition, thank goodness this isn't for work.



Everyone on here seems to be operating from an edge. They're tired of being lied to or betrayed and they say that openly in their descriptions. I suppose I might be a little different in that I freely admit that I'm the one in my life who does the lying.



The pattern isn't the disclaimer "DOES NOT REACT WELL TO LYING." The pattern is that everybody has a line where they claim they'll become less friendly or outright hostile. It speaks to a certain type of person that's drawn to this site.



No real reason for this post. Have to get my level up somehow.

I do concur with you on your observations. The archetype you describe is, in my opinion, inherent in the vampire culture. The type of person who has been broken so many times they have now rebuilt themselves into a dual version of their outer nature and their repressed nature. In the end that may be what cause that person to be undone for the final time.
