Shower Thoughts

Fear can be derived from nearly any dark trait, and/or caused by it. It is the chemical manifestation of uncertainty, the warning of possible future annihilation, fear is, in a sense, a warning of the heart taken seriously by the mind.

Pride is the essence of invincibility. It battles fear, and nearly wins. But that is pride's downfall. For fear is the ultimate winner in any battle waged by pride. For pride renders its soldier invincible by mind, though flawed in bodily reality. So, in battle, those wielding pride will ultimately find themselves engulfed in fear; as they overestimated their ability and plunged themselves into an unwindable war.

So, pride can breed fear. But what about the other way around? Can fear generate pride? Yes.
Fear cripples the individual, though over time, the fearful can come to believe they have beaten the trait. The mindset of 'I have lived through it all', can render some confident in their ability to evade fearful mindsets and situations; though these thoughts can lead to their true tragedy. For those who place themselves above any behavior, are doomed to embody it.
As the prideful succumb to fear, the fearful succumb to misplaced pride. Pride in their faith that they have overcome the worst in life. As the prideful refuse to see their fate of wicked fear approaching.

Pride and fear play a truly wicked game. They act as an infinity sign; one horrible extreme lies at the end of either loop; two seemingly opposite fates entwined in a horrid alliance. And a loop, that no one can escape.

And even in the event in which one adopts a dark trait aside from fear and pride, as stated before, all traits are entwined with one another.
For instance, those filled with greed constantly lust for more and more; nurturing the fear of loss and/ or failures to achieve goals. Another example includes bloodlust. Those itching for violence and destruction, will ultimately find themselves in fear of being caught for their illegal actions, as well as having developed a sense of pride in their dark accomplishments.

All-in-all, pride and fear form a twisted alliance in which haunts all other dark traits persistently.

A Discovery.

I used to dispise people. Mostly because I had no idea why they would freak out over the next 'new thing'.
But then I saw something... nothing. An absolute void. And it was then that I realized, that at birth our world was just that: empty. And the first thing we discovered, well that moment must have been absolutely aw-inspiring to us. Our sense of adventure and exploring had been born.
Which brings me to my current point: at some age, we all believe we have discovered everything; that we know it all.
But that one new thing shatters those thoughts, leaving you with that tugging feeling that there is still more out there. That you have a purpose. And that life can still bring you on the wildest adventures.
