Darkness envelops her,
wraps her in an icy cold embrace
She tries to run away,
... but she's trapped
between the walls of love and hate
She shivers as a pair of hands
greet her from behind,
afraid of what might come next
A foggy mist
films over her eyes
like fog on a mountain top
She's being pulled down
and she doesn't know
what the darkness might bring to her
Silence falls upon her new life
She doesn't have the ability to scream
So she lets the world she once loved
spin out of control
without her to stop
any destruction that may come to it
She's a different person now
Leading a whole new life
that took a turn for the worse
In a world that showed
her no sympathy,
getting caught up in all the lies.
Suicidal thoughts flood her mind
and encourage her to
leave it all behind
She ignored them for some time,
but they became too much to handle
so she finally gave in
She left without a sound,
but with a note that said,
"I lived in a world
where nobody cared.
My whole life was a sin.
Some people said
I was better off dead
and I said Fuck it, you win"
two forgotten lovers plight
forever lost in the night
sunset hiding
wimpering cyotes howell at the last fight
on this heatless night
... dark figures dash
to old lovers clash
renewed strength
and feelings old but anew
remembrance of ones embrace
searching for warmth and sinew
shakeing the morning dew
passion, fear, courage alike
come back to find
all others smite
upon the forsworn promises
no longer we kept
together again, each grimaces for lovers know
when true love felt
to bring a new day
singing in perfect hearts tune
to be rid of the winter moon
slowly, steadily rises the sun
wobbeling on axis
for two lovers begun
a new adventure in time
in each owns prime
no longer the pain or suffering
love now and ever
we shall be together
Decaying Love
Once doth the sun scowl
... Once doth the rain brine
Once doth the boy prowl
Once doth the girl shine
Twice doth the moon strike the spot
Twice doth the wind sweep the aisle
Twice doth the woman scream distraught
Twice doth the man deny her bridal
Thrice doth the stars fall from thine sight
Thrice doth the clouds roam the midnight sky
Thrice doth the gentleman fail to see light
Thrice doth the madame lay down to cry
Blank page
Empty thoughts
What comes to me
Seems completely lost
I sit here and wait
... To hear words to write
But silence is all I hear
Though in the silence
I hear You best
'Come to me and rest
For the shadows you face
And struggles you fear
Are the things I use
To see if you draw near
Hope is never lost
But faith can be
Not in you but in me
Why do you think
I leave in the midst of
Your despair
Don't you know
I am always here
I draw closer when
Your heart is broken
I will rescue you from
The depths of your despair
I love you
Though I know at time
You wonder
See I know you best
So come to me and rest'
She put a wall around her
garden
to keep the strangers
... out.
Wore a shawl around her
shoulders
to keep her warm
inside.
Always wore a smile
yet deep inside she
cried.
She shuffled little
fairy steps-
was careful not to
stride.
She cuddled with herself
at night
and kept her hurt
alive.
