How can a person be true to themselves?

Society won't let it happen.

If you don't fit into the mold that society has created then you are considered an outcast.

Who has given society that right? Who decides what's right & what's wrong?

Be true to yourself!

Don't let somebody tell you what to wear or how your hair should be.

Be true to yourself!

Don't let them tell you how you should talk or what you should do.

Be true to yourself!

Don't let others tell you how you should feel or what you should think.

Be true to yourself!

Don't let people make you feel bad just because you're not like them.

Be true to yourself!

You know who you are & what you like.

Don't lose yourself!

Don't lie to yourself!

Be happy with yourself!

Love yourself!

And be true to yourself!

She sits alone in her room

And wonders what she did wrong.

She is trying so hard this time.

Yet the darkness still approaches.

The darkness is surrounding her

And this time she is okay with that.

But she is scared that she is losing herself again.

It’s not fair!

She just started finding herself again.

Only to be lost once again.

Why must misery & loneliness be all she gets to know?

Why can’t she know what everyone else gets to know?

Is her being lost in the darkness

With no one there for her

What it takes for everyone else to be happy?

Well she isn’t willing to sacrifice herself for others anymore.

So how is she suppose to fight against fate?

Is that even possible?

So she is left to sit alone in her room

Wondering what she has done to deserve this fate.

He is the one I want to be with

Though he is not the one I am in love with

Is that so wrong of me?



I just want someone to hold

Someone who will lay by me

Who will be there for me

Someone who will pick me up when I fall

Who will give me his shoulder when I am crying

Someone who likes me as I am

Who likes to just hold me in his arms

Someone who never wants to let me go

Who will do whatever he can to help me be happy

Is that so wrong of me?



Is he the one that I am looking for

I really do not know

But is it so wrong of me to what to find out?
