The minute I was whole

You broke my heart

The moment I was hurt

You tore my wounds apart.



I was never perfect

Never enough for you

A couple of tears

And I’m a silhouette.



There’s a hole in my heart

You’ve never seen before

You never cared

You gave me the worst goodbyes.



I never understood how

You could sweep me off your feet

And it never lasted forever.

Nothing lasts forever.



I was crest fallen

With my seams wide open

Take it all away

One day I’ll take my heart back.
