Tick tock times run off with the clock...
Well 4 weeks are nearly up (friday) so crunch time is coming along! I really cant help feeling slightly powerless at the moment, its a bit hard to explain... im partially in control of the situation yet i have a nagging feeling i have no control at all...
I've kinda got settled into the place im in, the circle o people at work and whatnot. My circle of friends is all settled even adding some new ones as we go. Something has sprung up to put bits of that in jeporday and despite taking every precaution i feel odd.
job hunting sucks, the agent i talked about earlier hasnt come abck to me and is oddly enough not answering the phone... Pity the role sounded good.
You know those weeks... those ones that leave you absolutely mentally exhausted? yeah you know them.
Its been one of those weeks. Alot of work to be done and as usual no where near enough hours to do everything thats been requested, still i somehow managed. Alot of caffine more nicotine, little sleep and well you get the picture.
I really really cba.
on the plus side, something weird has happened at work my HR woman has changed her tune. Shes actually being nice and supportive, feedback has been good from the two managers i've been working for but still... i really dont believe i'm going to be given a chance to get back to BAU.
We will see.
You know those really wild days out you have everyonce in a while?
those mental days when you start drinking at 9:30 in the morning and dont really stop... we had one on Saturday, it was a riot of a day out (in a good way)
no one got really smashed, we all had fun and even brought a few smiles to the high street with our cowboys and indians hats we bought...
yes we went into a costume/ tat shop and bought cowboy hats nd indian feather headdresses, oh and some toy guns and toy bow n arrows and generally had a great laugh.
alcohol £60
food £10
The indian stuff 3.99
the laughs: priceless
So i spoke to one of the recruitment agents today, seemed pretty exicted about the role she has in mind for me. Thinks i'd be a good fit for the client, and thinks it would be a good fit for me. She ahs gone off to sort out an interview so WOOT WOOT
also saw the new Star Trek film today, have to say i was very very dubious the trailers made it look like star trek 90210, but thankfully i really enjoyed it. Was good to see Leonard Nimoy in a film again even though hes looking really really old.
Time for a really geeky post...
Im a big star wars fan and im a big gamer to boot, i've been following Biowares development of a new Star Wars MMO and i saw this today all i have to say is
OMG
