The idea of a free united Iraq was a nice one, but it should be apparent to anyone ( expect the village idiot who is our President) that this is not a plausible reality. Senator Joseph Biden suggested that Iraq should be divided into three separate countries- one for the Sunni Muslims, one for the Shite Muslims and one for the Kurds. It is obvious that the Sunnis and the Shites do not have any intention of getting along and creating one democratic state. The violence in Iraq is bad and keep getting worse. There is not a military solution for Iraq. It is time and has been time for American troops to come home. We got rid of an evil dictator and the Iraqis have had ample time to come together to form one government. Everything that happening over there drives home the point that they have no desire to do that. Give each group their own country and then tell them you will have to do what every other soverign nation in the world does- Develop a government, develop an army and protect your own citzens. It is not the responsibility of our troops to babysit the Iraqis or do the job they should be willing to do now they have a chance for freedom.
