The only person I'm better than is the person I was yesterday.
A whiff of a veiled dark emotion that I cannot pin down has sent a chill up my spine. I'm not an overtly macabre person, but something is misplaced. Light and airy, now a disdainful disposition. Is it merely me interjecting? Projecting? My thoughts swim with unpleasantnesses that I don't know how to remedy. Do I dance on a wire, or admit even to myself the the most unpleasant but inescapable truth that stares me down in the middle of the night?
Chronicles of a day off:
We rolled out of bed just a bit shy of noon after staying up till 4am. The most obvious down side of hitting the gym at midnight is the renewed energy you get from working out, so by the time we got home we were up for another couple of hours. But I like the quietness of the gym at night. It's peaceful, and for me, the elliptical is meditation.
We ran some errands, tied up loose ends, and all the other joy that comes with paying bills.
One of our stops though was the grocery store where Seven had a list of supplies for me to get. Cream of potato, bacon, sour cream, chives, and cheese... can you tell where this is going? Probably my thighs but thats ok in all honesty.
I was on bacon duty while Seven sliced and diced the potatoes and through all the other supplies in the crockpot. Even without cooking the broth of it was already tasting yummy. Added in the crispy bits of bacon and a smidge of the bacon grease... and well, our house smells edible. A few more hours and we will be have a most delicious dinner.
We then fixed some lunch. Seven had a basic sammy but made me a toasted dill havarti cheese, bacon, and turkey sammy. Yum yum yum.
I knew I married Seven for a reason lol
After lunch we watched Swamp People we had recorded while the pup curled up on my lap and took a siesta. As silly as gator hunting sounds, it sure is interesting to watch. I actually have gotten addicted to that show, but don't hold your breath if you think we are coming to Louisiana to try it.
Now some laid back gaming on WoW where I am a professional fisher in an imaginary land. For all the crazy gamers out there, I don't think I'm one of you, but it is cheap entertainment and something Seven and I can do together.
I'm losing my train of thought because of the scrumptious aroma. Potatoes cook faster damnit! If I'm going to the gym tonight, I want to at least eat something to give me cause of action lol
Oh it has been a lovely a day.

I love watching Swamp People :) It really is interesting- and it's cool cruising down these rivers watching these gators swimming by.
Sounds like a beautiful day. :sniff: So jealous.
I never you two were married! Now I can't make a move on Seven heh, but damn she sounds like a good Betty Crocker!
LOL Seven is no Betty Crocker, those two images are so far apart. A wonderful chef without a doubt though!
