Seven really has ruined all of my clubbing experiences.
I don't think I was ever technically critical of any DJ prior to listening and knowing Seven. I'd go to bars, have a few girlie cocktails, and maybe say the music sucks or just dance regardless.
Now I see things.
When requesting a song, the DJ said they cater more to hip-hop and didn't have the remix requested. Next song played- 90s Janet Jackson.
I'd look up to the booth, and the DJ wasn't wearing headphones. They had a giant flat screen TV at the back of the dance floor that occasionally showed an XM radio station streaming.
The music went off, and the DJ announced drink specials. I’ve never ever been in a club where all music comes to halt.
Literally 75% of the music was over two years old, and I didn’t hear a single song that I hadn’t heard before…. And I haven’t been to a club in over a year.
Are good DJs really in that short of supply?
No I do not believe you. Your words are full of manipulation and ulterior motives. No matter what you say or do, you will always been scum in my eyes.
I cannot be trusted with cookies :/

Hope you feel better soon Meep. Take lots of naps, and rum. Or OJ,,, which ever. ;)
Fixed the hazard lights in my car tonight... I had thought them to be unusable for about a year when Seven tore off the lever used to turn them on. Just had to change out the washer and am now driving with a screw driver as it is necessary for turning the hazard lights off now. I must say there is a certain satisfaction in being able to figure out and fix a solution to a problem I know nothing about. Cars and most handy work still elude me...and probably always will.
Subject: Disney buying Marvel for 4 billion (Power Punks-related)
What do I think about this? Disney already creates sexist and disturbing standards as role models for younger girls. Now let’s pair that with Marvel Comics that does a wonderful job of empowered busty female characters taking on villains in stilettos and pvc. I am sure together they will forge something completely non- offensive.

*Face...palm*
Entertainment for adults is one thing but when it is marketed towards kids it's wrong. The idea of 8 year olds looking to be a damsel in distress and think that a man will solve all of your problems is not the message I would want my young girl to see. Nor would I like to expose her to the over fetishized comic books that fall under Marvel's logo.
I love the X-men and Spiderman series but Marvel also has some more risque comics out there that I hope never is geared towards youngsters.
I've never viewed Disney or Marvel in that way. I know it is all subjective... Damsels in distress stories have never really bothered me either, they're super heroes have saved men's lives as well. I don't think I have seen or read the comics where women are being portrayed in a bad way. But we might have a different perception on what bad is, I don't mind the way the women are dressed :P
Remind me- what was the storyline of Beauty and the Beast? Isn't that the one where the girl is kidnapped, starved, had her father taken away, and told she will be held captive till she learns to submit and like it? Of course it is rather surprising that she seems to take it so gently and realizes that she is the one who needs to be nicer and in spite of the abuse maybe if she is nice enough to the abuser he’ll change his ways. Awesome more young girls should learn this!
Can you name a Hispanic character that is not a thieving dog? How about just naming an African American character? In the Jungle Book? Tarzan? Any chance you read the New York Time’s article “It's Racist, But Hey, It's Disney” way back when Aladdin came out and saw the Arab uproar about the depiction of Middle Easterners?
What about the trivialization of Pocahontas? It sure was nice that they glossed over that whole genocide issue and turned it into a romantic love story. Or Mulan where the strong female lead comes home from almost single handedly winning the war and is told she should have come home with a man rather than a sword? Or that she needs to learn her place. Or Ariel who gives up her voice so the only way she can lure the prince is with her body. Nothing says feminity like sexualized submission
I hate the idea of Disney buying Marvel. Disney is a Puritanizing octopus that poisons creative freedom.
On the other hand, I do like how Miley Cyrus can spin around and become Hannah Montana. I wish that more women could do that.
Disney wants to buy Marvel... NOOOOOOO... My comic books.. no... no no no no.. that is so wrong.. poor comic books..
Whats next? They going to buy into the Anime stuff next?? : sighs:
I can see you are pretty passionate about this. I still love Disney. I respect your point of view, but I don't view them as having this agenda. All races, religions and orientations work for the company and are treated well, that's for sure. My first job :P
