Bird feeder

Times Read: 716

I have had the bird feeder up for about a month with much success with redwing black birds, cardinals, brownheaded cowbirds, doves, boatailed grackles and various sparrows. I finally had a wonderful visitor, an indigo bunting. :) It is a lovely blue bird.

At work I have a different type of bird to watch mainly aquatic when time permits. There are 20 Canadian Geese and a snow goose always there. A few wood ducks visit in the early morning and late evening after most people are gone. We are infrequently visited by snowy egrets, great blue herons, and other waders. There are visits by other birds: barn swallows, Red-bellied Woodpeckers, mocking birds, cardinals, and occasional blue jays.

Watching birds is one of my favorite relaxtions. :)

Beautiful picture, I get lots of brilliant red cardinals and lovely blue jays around here but those jays are wicked mean and tend to run off all the other birds. lol

I did not take the picture because my camera is loaned out. I linked to it at http://www.birdsofoklahoma.net/
