Born and raised in Indiana. NWI, "The Region" as it is known. Basically a suburb of Chicago. I knew there was a major car event (Indy 500) Had a few fan friends. Moved to central Indiana in 2014. Tried to put the race on the TV to watch it. It was not there. They block it off the networks in the area and air it later to encourage people to come to the track to watch it live. As I have lived here I have went to tis event multiple times now and some of the pre-events like Carb Day. It is a big deal and it is something to get excited about in Indy. I never thought I would get into anything like this, but I do now. And if you give new things a chance in anything, you will learn new things and have more things in common with people that you may have not talked to before. Take a chance on something new to you.
