After my dark embrace, I opened my eyes. I saw the world as if for the first time with my new vampyre eyes. Everything appeared as it always seemed yet very different at the same time. Though it was nighttime I was able to see much further and much more detailed in the darkness than I had ever imagined. The landscape appeared to give light as if there were three brilliant full moons. Yet, there was no full moon, no stars. There were in fact clouds in the sky and I thought to myself that it should be pitch black. I asked myself, is this one of the blessings of the dark embrace? Colors were much richer, much deeper. I became entranced by the blades of grass, the leaves upon the trees of the forrest. I was enthralled by the way I was seeing the absolute beauty of nature. Although I had grown up in this place, I had never seen it in this grandeur.
I perched as a cat and gazed at a budding flower... its beauty is overwhelming. I laugh as a madman....
