If you Check this out, you won't be sorry. I've managed to get the link right. The prisoners/actors are perhaps more compelling even than the outcome of the play itself.
CAST THE FIRST STONE - OFFICIAL TRAILER from HCD MEDIA GROUP on Vimeo.
Wednesday I went to the Rayburn Correctional Center and screened the new Casting Stones documentary about the unprecedented 2 year undertaking of incarcerated offenders at Angola Prison and a local women's prison as they cooperated on a project, the play, The Life of Jesus Christ.
Angola once was a slave plantation in Louisiana and is now one of the world's largest and oldest operational prisons. Most offenders are serving sentences so long that they will die inside.
This film is so compelling and powerful. I do not think you could watch it and be unchanged in some way.

Which women's prison was it? I was on a Kairos Prison Ministry team at St Gabriel's a few years ago- spent dawn till dusk inside for 4 days... also saw some amazing things.
