THE CREEPSHOW is a Horrorbilly outfit that has seemed to come from directly out of the pages of one those lurid pulp magazines deemed illegal by the U.S government in the 1950s for fear it’s contents would hurl the teenage population into reckless abandon, engage in garish sex rites and lewd, wanton behaviours…if THAT was the moral majority’s view of an apocalypse for clean living and wholesomeness…Then THE CREEPSHOW may just be the very pied pipers of debauchery they’ve been dreading… The Creepshow are a soundtrack to back alley knifings and drunken cat fights…. The kind a weak and beaten down tramp doesn’t walk home from…They are of that same drunken and deranged spririt that drove Gene Vincent to drive fulll throttle into a wall only to explode on impact. The Creepshow are no soft-assed candy striped "pop-in-psychos-clothing" kind of band but rather a "broken beer-bottle-in your mouth-knock you down and boot fuck you" kind of band"!!! They are coming to your town and the way I see it, you have two choices:



1) either come and have probably the best time you've had in a long time getting wasted to some kick-ass horrorbilly......

~or~

2) hide in your basement for fear they might come and personally kick your head in.

My Review of the CREEPSHOW

I was working a HorrorBilly, Rockabilly, punk type night at the Queens where I live and was impressed with what I saw. The Switch Blade Valentines opened the show with The Creepshow following and the Matadors closing out the show, all great acts...Although I am writing this reveiw of sorts for the second act, The CREEPSHOW, this band kicked ass with female lead singer HELLCAT - Guitar, Vocals was amazing. Her stage presents was outstanding. Her voice reminded me at times of Bif Naked and Gwen Stefani, with blaring guitar and Chello(Stand Up) Bass, with crazy drums backing up her great voice. The song Creatures of the Night caught my attention right away. With SICKBOY - Upright Bass / Backup Vocals, MATT POMADE on Drums and REVEREND MCGINTY on Keys, Rounded out this great foursome.Other songs including the title track to thier newly released CD,Sell Your Soul, included Shake and Candy Kiss. The mix of Rockabilly and punk music was interesting and entertaining.This Canadian band has a great future. Today I was coming home from picking up my daughter in Victoria and I was turning onto a road to go to my parents house, as they wanted to see her and I ran smack into a construction site, or so I thought. Haley says " That car is facing the wrong way!" I looked at noticed two cars all smashed up and decided to go help. I am a Level III First Aid Attendent, so by law here in Canada, I have to offer my assistance or face criminal charges if I leave the scene. ( I would help anyway ) So a pass a few cars and pull onto the side of the road and tell Haley and my daughter to stay there and run to the first car. The elder gentlemen tells me he's ok so I told him to wait and ran to the next car. I could see blood on the windshield and then noticed to women sitting on the roadside. I walked up and told her I was a First Aid Attendent and that everything was going to be okay. She was in shock with an already swollen left eye and her jaw was sore. (both airbags deployed...smashed, bloody window...someone wasn't wearing thier seatbelt) I asked if I could do anything else and the two people with her said they would take care of her. I went back to the first car and climbed in the backseat as the first emergency vehicles started to arrive. I applied C-Spine control as the first paramedic showed up and did this until I was joined by a HOT paramedic....she asked me if I minded we got close and I was like OH HELL NO!!!! After I got out I talked to a few of the paramedics and police I knew and got back into the car and went to my parents. Haley then explained she was checking out the HOT firemen...LOL figures....Anyway that was my event for Friday afternoon.....
