Well, learned one fucking hell of a lesson yesterday...
Do not take Prednisone and Iron Supplements at the same time, Ducky!!!
So, iron typically backs people up.
It does the opposite for me.
I'm severely anemic so I take a hefty dosage every morning.
Prednisone can cause diarrhea in some people.
I was prescribed to take it every morning for two weeks for my wrist.
Guess what Ducky's dumb ass went through?
thought my innards were gonna fall out.
I was so worried I even called poison control.
They calmed me down, told me I wasn't dying.
Called my doctor's office and spoke with the oncall doctor.
She apologized profusely that no one gave me that warning- in fact I got the opposite warning that I may be constipated.
Told me to not take them together and to take the iron at night to lessen the blow on my colon.
Haha. Jokes on me. I thought my body was expelling Satan's offspring in the form of black water.
(Iron Supplements turn your fecal matter black- there's a bit more TMI.)
It was horrendous.
I was a sweaty mess and was super dehydrated because I couldn't keep fluids in long enough.
Around 11pm it started to get better.
But I feel like I lost close to like 50lbs.
Haha.
I fucking hate medication.
Go ahead, laugh.
I'm not even upset if you do.
That was comical hell.

I know the steroid is supposed to help with inflammation on the nerve and shit but bloody fucking hell the amount of burning occurring in my wrist is absolutely fucking nuts right now.
I don't drink. I haven't had a drink since 2018 simply because I don't enjoy it but I'm half tempted to buy some tequila and do a few shots just to get out of this pain.
Goddamn it they better hurry up and schedule this shit ASAP. I'm ready to gnaw my arm off.

Anywho.
Saw my doctor today.
She ordered x-rays, nerve testing, and started me on a 10 day cycle of steroids for my wrist. I will have the nerve test conducted next week to see how badly off my wrist is and which of the two wrist surgeries is recommended (either a normal carpal tunnel surgery or the advanced one).
My iron levels dropped again. Still severely anemic.
What this means is we have 100% determined it's due to my menstrual cycle since having the vaccination for COVID in 2021. My cycle turned out to be a hellish situation every month for the last two years and due to it, it is causing me to be severely anemic and even taking the supplements and the IV isn't keeping it up where it needs to be. I plummet each month. It's a vicious cycle.
So we got the approval for an endometrial ablation and are looking for a OBGYN specialist to do it who has a great track record in it. This will sterilize me. I had a tubal ligation in 2019 after my daughter, because they wouldn't do a full removal before I was 40. Usually endometrial ablation aren't done on women under 40 either, but my circumstances have made me a prime candidate due to quality of life and what happens if I do not have it done. This is also the alternative to a hysterectomy and hormonal therapy - I won't need the hormonal therapy after an endometrial ablation as I will still have naturally occurring hormones.
So there are two- possibly minor- surgeries for the near future being scheduled.
Modern science... Better than being lobotomized. xD

Fold laundry as it finishes
Thursday chores:
Bedding needs to be washed
Walls need to be wiped down
Dust
Steam clean the couch and floors
Deep clean the latrine
Steam clean the mattresses
Prep dinner and dessert with the kiddos.
Study for finals next week.

Oh boy.
So I've been up since about 12:30 am.
The pain in my flipping left wrist has taken a much more intense burning sensation and it's radiating through my fingers and up my arm, stopping just below the elbow.
I have an appointment at 0930 on Friday so I'm going to tough it out til then, but sweet bread baby Jebus this is some bullshit. Whoever told nerves they could misfire in this manner needs their noggin checked.
Guess I'll just distract myself by making fresh banana bread.
Don't come at me Bun and Ratcoon! I won't use the "strong hand" while I make it. I'll use the mixer. :)

I stepped outside and noticed there is pollen everywhere.
No wonder I've been stuffy and congested.
Cedar and I are enemies. I'm super allergic haha.
Even though I do have a giant ass cedar tree that's a couple of hundred years old next to my house... I refuse to cut it down.
That bitch has been here longer than me.
It may try to kill me when it's mating but damnit it's survived this long without falling and gives us some shade and oxygen.
