I won a professional fine art family portrait contest from a local photographer that I entered into for shits and giggles on Mother's Day. I never win anything and ha, I did this go round. It was basically a draw of luck, you enter into their contest and they draw a name. They do this every holiday and on their opening anniversary. I have friends who have had their family portraits done there and they always rave about the photographers they have and the quality of their work. This will be a heirloom photoshoot. Gonna need to update some formal wear for us. :D

Small blessings in luck...

When you set yourself into a predictable pattern of behaviors that continue in a ruthless cycle of the same shit, no one is going to listen to your pleas for forgiveness or pardon your behaviors.

Especially whereas you continue to be the same person whom you want to be separated from. There is no pardoning behaviors that are repetitive. There is no bias thinking involved. To be biased on situations would to be to be treating you unfairly, distort your behaviors or prejudice.

Due to the inability to use my left hand for the moment, responses to messages will take some time. I know that's not ideal for most but if you contact me regarding admin assistance or site assistance, if it is something that requires detail (example how to submit to the DB or assistance with coding) please be patient as I can only utilize one hand at the moment to type everything out.

Doc emailed me back and said if it's still painful on Friday when I see her, that she will have me also go for x-rays to ensure I haven't fractured or broken something within my wrist.

She did say if it gets worse and I start losing complete feeling in my fingers, hand and/or there is swelling and discoloration that I need to go to the ER and be seen. Not the clinic or urgent care because they don't have x-rays available in those locations, but the actual ER and to call the office before I go so she can call ahead and inform them of my arrival and what it's for. She said even if it's during the weekend- they have oncall docs and it's marked in my charts that my carpal tunnel is flaring badly and there could be possible damage done to my wrist that might warrant a fitted brace or cast.

I explained to her about how tank threw himself against my arm the other day (he's a giant pup and is still learning) and she said that could have caused fractures in areas of weakness in my wrist.

I have an appointment on the second for a referral for my carpal tunnel in my left wrist.

I think it's time for surgery. The amount of pain that is radiating throughout my wrist, forearm, and hand is absolutely fucking nuts now.

The brace they told me to get is only making it worse.

I have found that a compression sock with the toes cut out works the best for my carpal tunnel flairs. It provides support without being stiff and unmovable. I just got a pair of compression socks on Amazon.

Why would you feel the need to change a narrative of a story, of something you weren't even a part of, and lie to to someone who will obviously ask questions about it to get the truth?

Why do you consistently feel the need to brag about things, make them bigger than they are, lie about situations to fit a narrative you want portrayed, and then expect everyone to like you afterwards?

When your behavior reeks of being trashy, you get treated as trash.
You know what we do with trash?

We discard it.

Watch your fucking behavior and your story telling.
It's caught up to you, in ways you haven't even realized yet.

I enjoy teaching my children life skills.
To me it is an important aspect of being their mom. Ensuring they are capable of doing things for themselves should the need arise and being prepared with the knowledge of how things work, what they are for, and how to utilize them.

My children are twelve (going to be thirteen next month) and three. Almost a decade apart. They both partake in house chores (much to my surprise usually with enthusiasm) and are learning simple life skills such as laundry, proper cleaning, cooking, baking, lawn and garden care, and even car maintenance.

I taught the kids tonight how to make shepherd's pie. Emerson did most of the chopping, sauteing, and cooking. Lette learned what everything was and why it goes together. She assisted her brother with seasoning for the dish.

Then they tackled trash together- Em taking out the trash as Lette gathered the smaller trash (bathroom, bedrooms) and while Em took it to the bin she replaced the bag in all of the inhouse bins.

Emerson washed laundry for me while I was washing dishes and Lette, having heard the washer end while I was in the bathroom, moved the laundry from the washer to the dryer. (Front loaders.). Because she knows what buttons are for what, she understood that the load (towels) needed to go on the proper cycle for them. Then started the dryer and high fived me yelling "I do the laundry now!" And placed the next load (sheets) within the washer. I had to pour the soap for her (she can't reach it) and she added it. Selected the correct cycle and started it. Basically on her own. At three.

They rinse off their own dishes (I have OCD so I wash them- but both know how to), sweep their own rooms (Lette with help, of course), mop (again, Lette with help), and help me put away groceries weekly. They help feed the animals and bathe them when needed, water the plants accordingly, help dust and vacuum, and even help wiping down tables and counters.

In the event, should anything happen to me, or where Em was home and I wasn't yet and I needed something done, I can confidentially ask him to do it for me knowing he will understand how to do it. I am also confident in his ability (as well as Lette's) to ask for help/clarification when the need arises.

I grew up in the system. I was a foster kid for eleven years and no one taught me anything. I learned basically everything on my own or through others because I had to ask for help. When I was 14 I got my first job at a restaurant. Learned to cook- took jobs along the years to learn more cooking skills. Worked as a hired contractor to learn how to fix things on my own. Took auto shop and wood working in high school to learn how to do those. Took drama in highschool as the drama teacher also taught home ec and taught me how to sew and mend costumes. Worked as a house keeper to learn how to deep clean and make things presentable. Worked as a manager to learn how to lead, how to do accounting and keep track of records. Was a solider. Took martial arts to learn to fight. I've held many jobs and worn many hats and to me being a mom is the most important.

If don't teach them, they may never learn.
That, to me, in unacceptable.

WAY TO GO baby duckies! That is awesome that they don't fight to do chores. Mine have chores but are NOT enthusiastic about it. The chores get accomplished and it has been explained that chores are an important part of life as they teach us both how to do things and be responsible... but again... not met with head on enthusiasm. That is when the lesson of... sometimes we have to do things we do not like comes out to play at my house.

These goddamn squirrels are picking all my pears before they are even fully grown. I was in my yard cleaning yesterday and noticed these little, round looking things on the ground. Well I just caught the pricks throwing them down after eating around the center and then chucking the rest at my pig.

Vindictive little shits.

Now I'm going to have to figure something out and I'm going to have to pull out the tall ladder and cut back some of the neighbors tree branches that lean over my yard. Normally I'm fine with them growing as they are, because I like shade and have a sun allergy, but mother fuckers are slinging themselves from that tree to my pear tree.

It's been a long day and fixing to be a long night.
I mowed the front, side, and back yards, treated the property (fucking mosquitos), weed whacked, pruned the front plants, pruned the pear tree, checked the pumpkins, pulled the mushrooms up and disposed of them, found a tarantula and had to relocate that thing, found three garden snakes and also had to relocate those, took care of two hornets nests, made a new mud bath area for the pig, and bathed both dogs and the pig. On top of normal day to day work.

Tonight I have a massive amount of school work to do as I have barely gotten any done all week.

I will not be surprised if I don't get a good weekly grade as this week there was a lot of shit due when my internet was down and I am waiting to hear back by a few professors tomorrow about making up as I have the proof from the service provider that they were down for a long time.

Sucks I can't do the school work via my phone. It has to be done through the computer. :(

I get that mosquitos are needed in the grand scope of things.
Sure, I understand they're pollinators, their a food source for some fish, birds, bats... I get it. They are an important source of biomass in that food chain of life.


But really? Did that bitch ass mosquito have to bite my three year old under the eye? Out of all places to fed that little bitch had to fed on the one spot that would swell and make her look like she had a round or two with Mike Tyson in the boxing ring?

Doctor prescribed an allergy medicine and a topical cream. Hopefully it'll clear up in a few days. Thankfully it's not itchy to her so there isn't any scratches that would warrant a need for an antibiotic. So oral, topical meds and cool compress for the eye.

My daughter is a trooper, though. As soon as we pulled up to the doctor's office she immediately went "I do not need to be here. I am fine. Turn around let's go home." Haha

Doctor got a kick out of that.

They're not even worried about us, they just want to be fucking nosey all the time.

When we bought our house in 2019, this town was quiet and safe. Like no joke- barely any fucking issues.

The COVID-19 hit and people were losing their jobs and moved here from the DFW area because rent was cheaper and this entire town has become a shit hole.

Drive by shootings, robberies, gun and drug violence, hell both myself and a coworker were followed home on the same night by different cars and we later learned they were part of a sex trafficking ring and we got lucky that we both pulled into the police station and waited for two of our male managers to come and follow us home to make sure we were safe. Know how we found out? Police tracked them to our store where they tried it to someone else during the day. We identified their cars and plates and bam, cops were like "you should have reported it while you were at the police station. This is happening more and more nowadays."

I need to seriously find a small, quiet town surrounded by forests, woodland, lakes, and minimal people. I'm tired of this shit.

We are as careful as we can be and always ready to protect ourselves, thankfully. We have a security system up and have a second to cover the entire property currently in the works of being put up.
Plus our dogs will fuck anyone up who isn't from our household. They only permit other people when we are there. Unless it's my brother than they let him be, lol.

Just found out that the middle school had a teacher arrested due to drinking in school yesterday while the 8th graders were taking their STAAR test. He apparently brought tequila on campus and was tripping all over his classroom.

Meanwhile the culinary teacher in the city over from us has been arrested for showing obscene things to his students while in class.

Then a bus driver in our county has been put on administrative leave for not checking his bus and left a four year old on the bus, in the barn (where the buses are kept off duty) and with the windows up on a day it reached 80° for over an hour.

What the fuck, y'all?

Like it's not already hard enough to send kids to school with the fucking shootings and bomb threats that's been happening... Now this shit?

My anxiety can't handle this fuckery.

Tombstone, Az. We loved it! My son had a blast.... Roswell was cool to visit... The National Video Game Museum is not far from you already, and that was a lot of fun. Mt. Rushmore is pretty awesome.... The Grand Canyon is great. You can't go wrong with Disney World with kids, at least in my opinion and we are a major Disney Family. They have recently opened a Nintendo Land in California that I want to visit one day..... Devils Tower and The Bad Lands are very cool to see.....
