Excommunication and these posts regarding it.

Since some people can not handle anothers views I will post this in my own journal...You CAN be excommunicated from the Vampyre Community, and it does not have to from a felony crime such as murder, rape, etc... There are rules set forth in the community to protect members from things getting to this level...The facts stated in this post are incorrect about the situation as well, that was not how things went down...The one excommunicated spreaded false allegations about the member she had an issue with, to any member in the community she could tell, by the contacts she had made being a part of the group. She went to members outside of the house spreading these allegation before ever bringing it to the attention of leaders in the house. Her actions forced a tribunal to happen because she couldnt deal with things properly. And a decision was made by several people male and female based on the evidence provided.

Within ********** ****** ******** and the halo of ***** ***** we have a system of discipline, known as a Tribunal. This is for those who violate our laws. They must succumb to various forms of discipline for violating the laws. Tribunals are rare, but sometimes it becomes a rare necessity, and is the only option. All tribunal decisions are made by the Council, and enforced by the keeper of the veil and the mradu. In a household they are done by the Lord of the house. If the Crime is a mundane law broken such as rape or murder the mundane police will be contacted and the person/persons will be excommunicated.
Forms of Punishment:
Fines: Ranging in cost.
Demotion: (Vass Ravhattan):
If an individual violates the Covenant of ********** ****** ******** or ****** ****, they can actually lose recognition of completed Ordeals, or their place within a specific choir,and the community.
Banishment: (Morvass Ravhattan):
The individual is given a period of time where their active membership is suspended and they cannot attend any Quabals of the house/community or have access to the inner Sanctums.
We cannot remove what they are, yet they are essentially “Invisible” for the time set forth by the Council.
Excommunication: (Ravhass Bavhattan):
Excommunication is the harshest of all punishments.
This is irrevocable and permanent.
It is required that a member of the Mradu Choir carry out Ravhass Bavhattan.
Ritual of Ravhass Bavhattan
The violator is sat before the house, Council and Community and all files, Sigils, Grimoires, ECT. Are stripped away as well as,

Any and all titles and they are formally excommunicated from the House and Community.
They are now declared Sin Nomine.
The following are possible and reasonable causes for a Tribunal.
1. If a member blatantly breaks the fundamental tenets of the Black Veil or the Covenant of ********** ****** ********or any other house .
2. If a member lies directly to a member of the family.
3. If a member carries on hidden activities which he or she knows to be incompatible with the tenets of the house, Vampyric nation or the trust in which the house has placed in him or her.
4. If a member blatantly brakes a fundamental law of Vampyric ethics.
5. If a member speaks ill publicly about the family, its elders, senior members or other members without resolving it as a civil adult.
6. If a member represents the family publicly to the media or the public without permission from the Council.
7. If a member provides senior choir information to a member of a junior choir without permission from the Council.
8. If a member harms another member of ********** ****** ******** or in the vampyric community or the Mundane community with out just cause.
9. If a member does drugs.
10. If a member steals.
11. If a member feeds from another members’ Swan.
12. If a member knowingly tries to jump his or her level without putting forth the proper study and seeking the permission of the council.

13. (Archers Law) If A member dates or is involved sexually with someone underage.
14. If A member withholds information when asked.
15. If a member feeds in public.
16.If a member feeds after being told no by the donor.
17. (Frost law) If a members puts a stranger before the community and family
18. (Emj Law) If a member betrays there community/Sire for another community. Pretends to be something they are not turning there back on there true self/family.
(If the Elder/s of a house or Court merely disagree with a member, it is not enough reason to banish said member.
Opinions honestly held by a member, and expressed, must be heard out.
The family and the Elder/s may even learn from them, or the member may be persuaded to see the error.)
In order to preserve the peace within the house and community
Until the issues are resolved, the Council will take Any and All actions they deem appropriate to minimize any perceived or imminent damages to the house or the community caused by the member/members.

So pretty much we can excommunicated from anything. I can see why so many awakens are depressed. My God, this remains of my days playing vampire masquerade. I love that game.

And what is the point of this? Would it be easier just to use the golden rule. Treats others the way you want to be treated. Then go out on adventures with those like your self.. life is too short for all this..

the purpose is too get or keep trouble makers out of the community..no different thatn having a job and being fired for not following the rules, being in school and getting suspended for not following the rules, going to jail for not following the law...when people spread false accusations around the community about a fellow member, you dont just let them stay to do it again you get rid of them.

As for churches since your cultwatch site claims to be christian..My mother was excommunicated from church guess what the reason was? for not attending on sundays after her family moved to another state..

I admit it. I should of just blocked and walked away. My mistake was telling the group about it. Asking a website for advise about it. I should of have read this rules or been shown to me before joining. If i know of these rules before i joined i would not have joined. I made mistakes, I admit my wrongs. Yes, me going to get outside help was wrong. Yes, I shouldn't went overboard over a creepy text message. that was my mistake. I admit i was wrong for that. If excommunicated is what you feel is best. then do it. I will continue with my life learning and growing on the ovc.

Thanks for posting this journal Sangomancer. I was going to put this up in mine as well For those who don't know I'm LadyBloodMoon.. Lady Akasha Adiana in the community. First off Sangomancer do not respond to the excommunicated member who posted on this .. The Excommunicated knew the Laws and the rules of said house, as was given them to read. That member should have never taken the oath or lied about reading and knowing all that was given to her to read and to go over.. that person knew what they were doing was wrong. they falsely accused a nadja of mine, and per council decision and the elder that handled that case, that member doesn't exist. If this person contacts you again, or sends you a message Block Them.. They no longer exist to us.

Right LadyBloodMoon, the person was given the Liber well before even you accepted her as a nadja. She was also in the group and had access to the house files where the books were as well. Im pretty sure the person they made false accusations about gave her the Liber which I told him to send after asking permission..This is just a bunch of lies spread about someone who did all he could to help get her in , and she stabbed him in the back.

I want to say im sorry. I feel bad of how much her childe means to her. I'm sorry I made her feel like she will lose him . My action were immature and I should of just left, instead of causing a mess.. Yes, I didn't like what he texted me. This is my right to disapprove and be grossed out by it. Im sorry I cause everyone so much grief over it. I will be women enough to admit I was wrong.
