After dark vapours have oppressed our plains

For a long dreary season, comes a day

Born of the gentle South, and clears away

From the sick heavens all unseemly stains.

The anxious month, relieving from its pains,

Takes as a long-lost right the feel of May,

The eyelids with the passing coolness play,

Like rose leaves with the drip of summer rains.

And calmest thoughts come round us-as of leaves

Budding-fruit ripening in stillness-Autumn suns

Smiling at eve upon the quiet sheaves-

Sweet Sappho’s cheek-sleeping infant’s breath-

The gradual sand through an hourglass runs-

A woodland rivulet-a Poet’s death.

Dear Giver Of Emotions,



I thank you for everything you have given me. You’ve given me your pain so that you can feel invincible. I’m thankful that you gave me your hatred so you can live in eternal bliss. Thank you for all of your sadness and ignorance, I needed those emotions right before my mothers’ funeral. Oh, my sister told me of the venomous words you spoke of me to her while you sat in the darkness. I love how you called me a hopeless unsatisfying, spineless, and easily used fan boy. It added on to the depression and stress you blessed me with earlier. I truly love you, I really do. I’d give my life just to hold you, even for a minute. I love how you look while you sleep. You look much more peaceful than when you’re screaming in my face. I don’t care what you do to me. Whip me, chain me, use me, or abuse me. It doesn’t matter, as long as I love you. You could slit my throat and I’d apologize for bleeding on your shirt. So again, I say thank you. I’ve held your softer side and I’ve loved your dark side. You don’t want to lose me, and so you abuse me to make me stay. I’ve kissed the darkness behind the light. I know there’s light behind the darkness. You love me dearly, yet you wound me deeply. It only pains me when you say you hate me, because I know it’s not true. I see the unfair balance in our relationship. I’m the one left holding your burdens. I’m the one who is blamed for the sins you have committed. As I sink into darkness, I shall bless your name, and lift your life above the shadows. It is now the time that I present my gift to you. I grant you my heart and the choice to hold it close or crush it in your hands. Either way, I shall love you evermore. I love all of your quirks. And I know you love me too.

The Elegant Phoenix, The Graceful Dragon, And The Broken Wolf.

A wolf staggers from the darkness of night.

To numb his pain and lick his wounds,

When from the heavens came two beings of light,

Who came to release him from his merciless tomb.



The first to speak was a majestic dragon.

His scales like light through sparkling wine.

He landed gracefully beside the wolf that lay broken.

And offered a healing with his power divine.



A second being descended, her beauty a gift from the mystics.

Her auras glowed brightly like heavenly grace.

Beside the wolf landed this blessed phoenix.

Who offered shelter from the tainted place.



With a weak smile, the wolf thanked their act of compassion,

And promised to repay them before the nights end.

He gave them a promise, to everlasting love and protection.

Thus he stood slowly, elated to call these two saviors friends.



Dedicated to my two best friends, Aurora and Sharon.

I thank you both for being the first ones to understand the darkness in my heart.

My Sister Wolf, I love you deeply.

You’ve shared my hopes and all my dreams.

I know you’ve always kept me.

And protected me by all means.



You played with me when Mother Wolf was ill,

Kept me fed when Father was hurt.

Never had to ask you “how do you feel?”

You made sure that you stayed healthy and alert.



You’ve fought for me with fangs and claws.

I’ve struggled for you with my little teeth and paws.

You cleaned me, taught me, and treated me right.

You’ve carried me to the den in the stormiest of nights.



Promise to protect me, like a sword and shield.

Never disappear from my full sight.

Stay with me play with me. Here in our rose field.

And guide me evermore, my precious Full Moon light.
