The Eagle & The Angel

An eagle flies up in the sky searching for his place
once or twice he finds a place to sit and listen to our souls
we never know he is thre but by and by you see he shows up out of nowhere to comfort all he sees all the time that has come to pass and all the death that he sees is meant to comfort those in need
on gracious wings he soars above looking down on me
he sees the pain and darkness there and that death does come for me
he says a prayer and lets out a screech and lands two feet away
the look in his eyes tells the tale that many long forgot.. I search for truth beyond the veil that time has placed on me
I try to get closer to him the graceful creature before me he stands his ground
and looks at me as if to say your time is far from through
look through my eyes and see the journey that on my wings you flew
as a tear begins to fall from my eyes I realize what is here a part of you lost to me so many moons ago
so as you stand your ground your wings stretched and your eyes on me I fall to my kness and cry the cry of angels
I wondered where you went and why you left me behind. I thought you were someone that i'd truly never find
but fate has beeen cruel you see and took the human part from me
I feel your pain and I long for your touch but i'll never have that you see because the animal body you possess will never let my fingers your skin carress your soul reaches out to me and your voice i hear on the wind together we shall be stuck together you and me never to hold never to touch both of us needing the other so much why did this happen to us my dear why does all i love have nothing more for me than fear your words echo like a canyon deep within my mind you see but all I have is gone from me your face i no longer see you fly away on splendid wings and leave behind a hole within my soul never to be filled by anyone but you
