The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

I have just finished reading the new book in the Anita Blake series by Laurell K Hamilton. I have to say i was dissapointed. This was not of the standard i have come to expect from this Author. It was half assed in my opinion. Like it was cobbled together and thrown out to appease those avid fans who dont want to wait more than two years for the next instalment. It reads like a draft copy, maybe an earlier idea that she wanted to get out of the way. I am not even sure why it was called Michah because really we didnt get a more in depth reading of the character. Just mostly reminders of what he means to Anita and why. It felt like an excuse to do some more sex scenes with him as shes running out of pages in other books to fit all Anitas lovers in.

Im sorry Laurell K but at this stage in the books your average Anita Fan doesn't need half the book based on reminding us of what relationships are what with whom. In the words of my daughter ''This is Pants!!''

Im only hoping that Danse Macabre is going to be a big improvement on this book. I'd hate my love affair with the series to come to a crushing halt.
