The following are a list of twelve traits from the Heathen Faith, which have been re-written for the modern vampyre who is of the heathen persuasion, such as myself. The terms are in Old English, the language of the Anglo-Saxons, and then in Modern English bracketed.

Bisignes (Industriousness) - The ability to work hard in maintaining one's self and family and coven or house. Avoid being lazy, instead be productive within life and strive to achieve good things not just for yourself but also for your family and your coven.

Efnes (Equality, equal justice for all) - Justice, or the drive to always see the wrongs done one's

tribe corrected. This is a hallmark of a heathen (vampyre or not), it is the ability to treat others in accordance with their deservance, and the ability to give each person male or female, a chance to show and give their best.

Ellen (Courage) - Bravery or boldness, the ability to stand and fight in the face of any threat. Train yourself to do the things you fear whether physical or moral, that you may overcome them. Courage is not the absence of fear, it is facing fear head on.

Geférscipe (Community mindness) - Community mindness, putting the good of the community

above one's self. Cooperate with coveners and friends, do your fair share, and remember your responsibilities to the other members of your house.

Giefu (Generosity) - The ability to give to others at the appropriate times. An open hand and an open heart bring happiness to you and to others. Those who are stingy in their generosity shall never find the happiness that they seek and it shall be reflected back to them by the actions of their fellow coveners.

Giestlíðness (Hospitality) - The ability to be kind with guests and make them feel welcomed. In the time of our ancestors, travelers were greeted with food, drink, and a warm place by the fire. When a new member comes offer them help and repose, that they feel as though they belong and may become as one with the coven.

Metgung (Moderation or self control) - Self control, the ability to be in command of one's own orlæg (the “primal layer” that determines the course of men’s lives. These actions represent that part of life, which is not determined by free will, those things we cannot change, or cannot change without great difficulty.) Enjoy all good things, but do not overindulge. No one admires a glutton or a person who cannot control his or her appetites.

Selfdóm (True to one's self) - The ability to be an individual; The ability to rely on one's self as the sole authority of your destiny. Do not allow others to create who you are, take responsibilty and create who you are, that you may look at yourself and be happy with you, so that others may look at you and see who they may wish to admire.

Sóð (Honesty) - The avoidance of lies and the ability to standby what is true. Be honest and straightforward in all your dealings. Avoid deceit and deception especially to fellow coveners and elders, save when truthfulness shall lead another to great harm, then allow your silence to be long and your words carefully chosen.

Stedefæstnes (Steadfastness) - The refusal to give up even when things are rough and the ability to be tenacious when it is time to be. Learn to persist, to endure in the face of adversity without discouragement.

Tréowð (Troth or loyalty) - Fealty, faith, fidelity. Loyalty to one's coven, friends, and family. Be steadfast in your commitment to your coven, to its members and to yourself.

Wísdóm (Wisdom) - Adherence to the ancient wisdom of our path and your faith and the use of it in life. Learn from your experiences. Grow in the understanding of the world, and of the human heart, mind and spirit. Strive to gain a much better understanding of the realms (physical and spiritual) while you have the time within your life.

NOTE: I know that these aren't stories, however, I am not ready to place these in with the personal information yet.
