...and if you're reading this, and it hits home, odds are it was written for you.
I'm going to watch my words and make this as clear as possible without attacking.. judging.. or being unnecessarily rude.
Not that you deserve it, but I know the anger I'm feeling right now serves no purpose.
I’m going to tell you a few things I know you won’t believe. First off, I’ve actually defended you. I’ve stood in your corner and tried to get people to see the positives about you.
That was before I know what I now know. What I’ve been told… disturbs me. I won’t defend you anymore and I’m not going to waste any time or energy in trying to get you to understand what I have actually done for you.
If this is the way you treat people you supposedly care about and mean the world to you, I can fully understand why they would leave you and want you out of their life.
One thing you can believe is when I tell you, I’ve been there.
Got the emotional baggage with all the travel stickers on it.
And from that experience I know there are some questions going through your mind right now. Let me give you the answers to all of them… ready? Take note on this.
That’s right. The answer to all of them is: it’s you.
Look at every situation and you’ll realize it. It’s not her, it’s not anyone, it’s not anything that creates your life – it’s you. Once you can accept that, you can deal with these situations and move past them as an adult.
Right now, all of the juvenile antics, the 3AM phone calls, the trying to drag other people into it, the nasty messages… childish, immature acts by someone who chronologically is supposed to be an adult.
You made mistakes. It happens. Life goes on.
Or at least, it should. It won’t if you keep behaving this way and the only thing you’ll accomplish is making people even angrier with you.
Move on, grow up, and try again in a few years when you’ve matured.
Just realize the first thing you’ll need to do then is prove your maturity.
Good luck with life.
