We were not always cursed, not always made to suffer. We,two hundred angels were originally sent to earth to watch over the Enochian people. Yet, after time had passed we found love for the creatures ‘he’ birthed. He wanted us to love man, to be among man and we had done so. Eventually our Power, Samyazaz, led us to realize that ‘He’ wanted us to be united with man, and in this, we took husbands and wives from Enoch. However, as soon as we had layed with our mortal spouses, each of us was cursed with a mortal body that wasted away.



We did not wish to see ourselves fade from this world, it was not what was to happen, yet God, deemed otherwise. So, our bodies began to slowly fail, shriveling slowly, yet when we were about to accept the fate of what we were to become, we found that we could transfer our souls to that of others and in this, we embraced this Archontes. Little did we know what the Sacraments of such would do to our souls.



After three generations of this happening, we began to feel hunger within, a hunger that seemed to eat at our bodies, draining us of energy. This hunger would not be sated by simple food, it was neither drink, nor lust… we hungered for life, and that life was that of the mortals we lived beside. Those of us who did not waste away and our spirits trapped away in the abyss for eternal slumber; fell to our hunger, devouring the weak of the city, eating them whole.



This hunger, eventually subsided, and we found it no longer hunger, yet we were sated, for the time. We knew within ourselves that this hunger would return, and we sought out ways to keep it from happening again, or another way to keep it from becoming too much. More of us had died, their souls going to the abyss to rest until it was the end of days. Those of us that remained discovered that it was not the bodies, but the blood, that sated our hunger. The mortals of Enoch, accepted this and allowed us to feed on them as Thralls, and from this our hunger was sated.



Yet, this would not last, God had finally decided to cleanse the world and sent a great deluge to flood the city and in this, we, those who remained, could not and died. It was dark, nothing mattered, there was no time, no rotation of seasons, nothing, it was utterly dark, silent, and finally a voice was heard.



“Those who saw the light, those who did not wish to let man suffer because of God follow the path of I. I am the Demiurge, the Adversary, and in this, what strength I still hold, I will release a few of you to give rise to the truth. Remember me upon your release and in this, I will give strength to come back with more… Become the Adversary, and bring forth the Six Hundred and Sixty who now slumber and in the end of times, we shall march upon the gates and take it from the Tyrant above.”



It was beautiful, it felt warm, and then, the world came to be, and there we, six, lay looking up into the night sky in bodies not our own. We wore armor with Red Crosses, we held blades covered in gore, we, were covered in gore. Yet, we did not forget what the Demiurge had given us in wisdom and from that, we slowly began to build ourselves once more.



Now, in current nights, we have accepted we are monsters, fallen angels betrayed by god… yet we no longer rely on ‘god’ to serve a purpose, we give prayer and faith to the Demiurge and in this, we are the Adversary he wanted us to be. We shall march upon heaven, and in the end, be victorious.

I like this one. The betrayal of God and the Angels, is something we can all identify with... Nice way to put it.

Tumult of the Adversary is a spiritual ran orginization that I wrote up for the use for rp. It was a very useful item which I wish would have taken off, however should anyone be interested looking over what I wrote take a peek. Its still not finished, but it getting there.

God betrayed us, he sent us to earth to become the unity between man and god and in the end, made us suffer and killed us. Now, he seeks to keep man shackled, make them suffer so in the end he can kill them. We, will not let this happen, we, will become his Adversary and fight back, showing man that we are monsters, however monsters with a purpose, the purpose to not allow such a tyrant remain in the heavens.



Adversaries Canon

The Canon is that in which we use to guide our actions against the betrayer and to bring the light of truth to the blinded flock that follower it. Below are the manners in which those of the Tumult, Covey and Clans that follow the Faith abide by:



I) Let what was humane within slip away and embrace the truth of your existence, deny the Betrayer the will to control you.



II) Honor the Varletry and know that it units us all against the betrayer and the lies he uses to fool the weak.



III) Support all who are united under the banner of the Tumult, and those who are worthy and trusted, those who fail to show trust, need not hold the trust of your being.



IV) Lead others towards the light, let not the Betrayer keep the wool over the eyes of the masses, deserve not of them and in this deserves not of his throne



V) Respect the Sacraments and Rites performed in honor of the Tumult and the traditions in which we survive by. These Traditions give us structure, a structure that is used to fight back.



Axiom (Self-Evident Truths)

Within the Tumult there are two major beliefs which have been founded as truth in regards to how the world and the universe were conceived through the ‘Betrayers’ will. The two Axiom of the Tumult are Sanctus, that which gives law to become a binding force for creation, and Genesis, the birth of that which was given law to bind and form as directed by Sanctus. These Axioms are truth in the most basic form, that all things must be given creation through both such manner. It is in this manner that the Tumult will fight back against the ‘Betrayer’ and regain the throne of Heaven from it.



~ Sanctus

~~ Sanctus is the law in which gives reason to bind the very matter of the universe together to give birth to life, in this, it is considered the essential spirit, the supernal spark, which is the very cement that binds all together. Sanctus is spirit, soul, the Ergo, Gnosis in which all things are based upon and all things that live hold deep within. It is believed that the Sanctus of a creature is tied to the universe and in this, tied to the ‘betrayer’ and should one be able to find how to meld with the Sanctus of another, they can slowly find the path to Heaven and the way to over throw the ‘betrayer.’



~ Genesis

~~ Genesis is the birth of all things given law to form through Sanctus. The Genesis is seen as the physical matter, the body, the flesh of all things within the universe and the world. Which, the Genesis is the vital block for creation, for without the body there is no means to gain form, and in turn, no form to retain the Spirit. It is believed that through the promotion of change, the seduction of the body it opens the soul to the Demiurge and in this, the ability to spread the light of truth onto those uneducated or corrupted by the ‘betrayer.’



Creeds (Denominations)

The Creeds are the Denominations in which those of the Tumult find themselves drawn towards. Creeds are the dedication towards a firm purpose, the very ideals in which one sees as a part of a puzzle towards breaking the strength of the ‘Betrayer’ and to give strength to the Demiurge and the Adversaries. There are two Major Creeds in which one maybe drawn to.



~ Creed of Azza

~~ Azza was one of two High ranking Elohim who lead the remaining one hundred and ninety eight towards being forsworn and eventually cast to the abyss. Azza was known to be the teacher of the physical aspects of Heaven, which would have been art, music, hunting, fighting. Azza was considered the seducer, the corruptor, the one who truly lead the rebellion that caused the ancient city of Enoch to fall. In regards to the conviction that those of the Tumult follow, they see themselves as the wild one, the physical corruptors who weaken the Genesis so the light of the Demiurge may be shed upon the poor, lost and misguided creatures of the world. The Azza become those who men and women lust after, those who desire knowledge of art and willing to sell their souls for such knowledge, or the wild things that hunt and devour those who have gained the ire of the Demiurge and the Tumult.



~ Creed of Shemhazai

~~ Shemhazai was considered the leader of the rebellion against the Betrayer, the one who rallied the one hundred and ninety nine angels below him. Besides being known as the leader of the rebellion within Enoch and Heaven, Shemhazai was known as the one who had taught the sacred knowledge of Heaven to the Mortals and other Elohim. In the teaching of the sacred knowledge, Sacraments, Magic and such were taught and used to make war against the ‘Betrayer.’ Those of the Tumult who find their creed among the Shemhazai become the beacons of hope, the priests and scholars who attempt to study the Sanctus in order to find the way to break the gates of Heaven and to other throw the ‘Betrayer.’



Convictions

Convictions are the narrow paths among the Creeds that some among the Tumult follow. These Convictions are more narrowed aspects of purpose, becoming almost another creed within a creed. There are four major convictions, two within both creeds, and each Conviction has a specific purpose that is used to help drive the Tumult on word.



~ Azza Convictions

~~ Gamchicoth Conviction is the path in which those of the Tumult embrace the animalistic nature of themselves and become the very persona of a ‘Wild’ thing. In this the Gamchicoth find unity with not only the Animalistic side of their Souls, but also the connection with the physical world in which we are now bound to. So the Gamchicoth follow their instincts like any animal, however this does not mean they are stupid animals, it means they are sentient predators. In this they use the cunning of their natures to hunt, they listen to their desires when they feel the urge to mate or to kill, however they always find a way to make sure this is done without coming into conflict against their covey or Canon of Tumult. Besides being the Wild things, they also attempt to inspire the same abandon in others and teach that the ‘Betrayer’ has no influence over them and by shrugging off the conforms of modern society, they can gain power to oppose the Betrayer and gain strength in the disconnect from it.



~~ Thamiel Conviction are those dedicated to the very goal of corruption, giving into temptation and even using temptation and sin to shed light upon the blind flock of the ‘Betrayer.’ The Thamiel do not simply indulge in sin and corruption, they are sin and corruption, understanding that the only way to break the ‘Betrayers’ hold on man and creature alike, the Thamiel must show man what depraved measures they are capable of and at the point of the climax to revel that if the ‘betrayer’ was a merciful one, why such actions are present and given the right to be thought of or even done? The Thamiel, oddly enough are also spiritual individuals, though more philosophical then actual spiritual like that of the Chaigidel, however it is still a surprise when one among the Thamiel show a depth of spirituality that is never considered among their Conviction.



~ Shemhazai Convictions

~~ Chaigidel Conviction is a devote path based upon Scholarly pursuits along with spiritual pursuits, becoming the living embodiment of the Adversary among the Tumult. In this regards the Chaigidel are known to delve through old texts concerning the past of Enoch, ancient magic, holy and unholy ceremonies to promote the Tumult and its teachings. Though the Chaigidel sound like spiritual seekers and book worms, they are not as simple as such. The Chaigidel understand that there is more to being a ‘Nephalim’ and an Elohim, and in this, it requires physical understanding of the body and blood as well. It is not uncommon for a Chaigidel to take part in wild hunts, become the obsession of another’s desire and engage in orgies, along with stealing the soul of lesser creatures and weaker vampires to gain the knowledge of their blood. The Chaigidel are respected, despite their close affiliation with such destructive manners, the Chaigidel are faithful to their Covey and to the Tumult and all those who follow it. Any who forsake the beliefs however find the Chaigidel the first to call for their blood.



~~ Sathariel Conviction are among some of the more cold and mystical among the Sanctus. The Sathariel are not the extremely devote and spiritual as like their Chaigidel Counterparts, however they are more based around the occult and knowledge of the soul and in this, how to unlock the full potential of the immortal soul that is within all creatures, not just Elohim. They believe through the understanding of life and death, the sacrifice of flesh and the capture of souls, they can find how to march back to heaven and take the throne from the ‘Betrayer.’ In this the very manner of death of a person not of the covey, clan or Tumult hardly ever bothers them and in this, they do not shy or hesitate to kill to simply continue their dark, mystical studies.

Varletry

The Varletry is the ritual communion in which those who are gathered about, offer their blood into a common vessel. Once all those present offer a bit of the blood within them, they pass around the vessel until all have done so. Once all have offered a bit of themselves, the first to have offered, sips from the vessel and passes it about. All sip from the vessel until all that is within the Varletry have taken of the vessel. The Ritual of sharing each other blood brings each who partakes of the ritual to become closer, forming a mystical bound that offers spiritual support. In this, a covey, clan or pack who partakes of such a ritual finds that they are more in tune with each other.



Sacraments

Sacraments are the rituals and ceremonies of tradition, which are used to draw and support the unity of the Tumult, Covey and Clans who follow the Word of the Tumult. The Sacraments are many, and finding a Priest who knows all the Sacraments of the Tumult is rare. Below are a few sample Sacraments which are used to promote the positive influence of the Tumult, along with any Clans and Coveys which follow its Word.



~ Sacrament of Inception

~~ The Sacrament of Inception is the Ceremony of Graduation, when one is taken from the folds of the betrayers flock and given the honor to learn and be among those who see the truth. This is not the Ceremony in which one is fully birthed into a creature of the Demiurge, but those who are support such creatures. Such creatures are always referred to as Thralls, while the ones who are placed in charge of the thralls are known as Regnant. During the Ceremony, the Priest draws all those who wish to take part in the ceremony into a circle around the Thrall. Once all have Gathered the Priest provides the words of Grace and then steps to the side and lets the Regnant take the first bite. Once the first bite is taken by the Regnant, the Priest is given a bite as well, once the priest had his turn, any who the Regnant is willing to offer to the new thrall may take a single bite as well. Once all have taken or been given the chance to bite, the Thrall is given a welcome into the Tumult, Covey and or Clan.



~ Sacrament of Conception

~~ The Sacramento of Conception is the Ceremony of Birth, when one is brought among the folds as a creature of the Demiurge. The Priest brings all those who wish to take part of the ceremony together in a circle around the Priest, the Prospectus and their would be sire. The Priest gives the eulogy of the transformation, and along with it the unpleasant aspect in which we suffer. Once the Eulogy has been provided, the Priest asks three times if the Prospectus is Committed. Should the Prospectus answer without waver three times, the Priest looks to the sire and tells the sire that their Prospectus is committed. At this point, the Sire takes the first bite, then all those who are in a circle move in, taking a bite at a time. This continues, starting with sire until all, even the priest has had a bite and until the Prospectus is drained, the sire will also have the last two bites of the Prospectus humanity. Once the Prospectus is drained in full, the Priest motions to the sire and informs the Prospectus to admire the steps of death, to enjoy the slipping of their humanity, and then to drink deep of Divinity and become one among the Adversary. At that point the prospectus drinks from the sire until they transform. Once the prospectus transform, they are no longer a prospectus, but a honored child of the Demiurge and from that point on, they are the child of their sire, and their grandsire. Once the Child is stable, the child is to give all but a few drops of vitae back to the sire.
