Uploading Pictures
You can store up to 10 pictures on the Vampire Rave server that will display with your profile. To manage your pictures click Edit Profile in the User Menu.
Near the base of the Edit Profile page is a window called Update Your Pictures. From this section you manage your profile pictures.
Any picture that you attempt to upload must have a file size of 600kb or less. Your picture must also have a resolution of 400x400 pixels or less, and it must also be a valid jpg or gif image file. If your picture is larger than 400x400 pixels but less than 600k, the picture will automatically be resized to 400x400 pixels (proportionately).
Whenever an upload fails an error is printed in the Update Your Pictures window. Check this area if you're having problems. Most members overlook this area when their upload fails.
If your browser is set to use a cache file, when you upload a picture that replaces an older one, you might not see it. The picture is on the Vampire Rave server. The problem is with your browser, it's showing you an old image. You can solve this problem by clicking reload from within your browser or by dumping your browser cache file (it will depend upon your browser and version).
You cannot rearrange the order of your pictures. If you want to rearrange their order you must delete them all and then re-upload them in the order you wish them to appear.
If you are having problems with some pictures not displaying properly or if you are unable to delete a specific picture, try the Clear All Pictures button. This button solves most profile picture problems. |
