A serious Subject; Harassment
Harassment Will not be tolerated by members of this Mentorship and is against the Terms of service on VR.
What is Harassment ?
Harassment can mean many things. It can refer to the actions of a person (or group) who is repeatedly sending you threatening , or unwanted sexual messages after you have asked them not to, . Harassment can also include intentionally exposing you to materials which the harasser knows, or has reason to know, are culturally offensive or intimidating to you.
It is not necessary that the harasser intend for the conduct to produce feelings of fear or intimidation in the victim, only that the harasser has reason to know that the conduct would cause such feelings. In some instances, harassment results from infatuation or romantic obsession. The harasser does not intend for the behavior to make the victim fearful; the harasser is trying to prove "love" for the victim. The law now reflects the understanding that, regardless of the motivation for the conduct, it disrupts the victim's life and may threaten the victim's safety.
Harassment is extremely frustrating to deal with, and can be difficult to prove. However, if there is sufficient evidence, Your account can blinded or be sent to Purgatory and you will not be able to leave till you Sire out
If it is sexual Harassment it can result in the immediate suspension of said account and the IP banned from the server,
Anyone That is being harassed should notify a CM or ACM as soon as possible . Try to email the the content of the messages to yourself so that you have a record of the incident . If you aren't sure who the acm's in your coven are you can look at the members list to find out.
Don't let yourself Be harassed further once an incident has occurred Fighting and arguing back at these types just makes things worse .. You have a block option for this purpose . Allow the CM and or ACM's to handle it.
I bring this up after an incident last night in another coven to a friend of mine who was being harassed.
