Reginlefir is one of 13 maidens serving the Warriors of Valhalla. She is a Valkyrie or Death Goddess, a female being who carries away the souls of those warriors slain in battle. This sisterhood was close to Odin and were sometimes called Odins meyar (Odin's Maidens) or Oskmeyjar (Odin's Wish-fulfillers). The numbers of the Valkyrie vary, 36 are attested by the many layers of myth...but only 13 are named...the Remaining Twelve are...
