My name is Melissa, but most refer to me as Mel, I guess it makes it a wee bit shorter and it gets my attention, so hey why not?
I don't care for stereotypes, but being the logical person that I am at times, I know that we all use them in some distinct way. I don't consider myself a "goth" I may dress the way most consider to be "Gothic", mainly black, black boots, chains and fishnet, but that is not what it means to be goth. I don't follow any set lifestyle to allow myself or others to call me by that title.
My moods vary as any other living, breathing creature. I am very easy going most of the time. I am very easy to talk to and i am a very good listener. I am blunt, if asked a direct question, I will repond in kind, i won't tell lies to spare feelings. I believe in complete honesty, even if it is sometimes brutal and may come off as being bitchy...at least I can never be accused of being a liar.
I'm not in any way shape or form perfect. No one is. I will never claim to be. I have my moments where my temper snaps, though it isn't often. I sometimes say things that I don't mean to say and/or let my anger get the best of me.
I have a small tendency to be sarcastic when the moment for it arises, though I'm not overly. I have a few pet peeves, a couple of things that really irratate me... 1.) I dislike when people judge others before they know them. 2.) Stupidity, not meaning a lack of intellect, hell, we all lack the smarts in some areas, but people with no common sense bug the hell outta me.
Lastly, people whose vocabulary only consists of "dude", "fag", "gay", and "idiot".
There is one other thing that gets under my skin, something that deserves its own little publication if you will. I despise those who mutilate the english language. For one thing, it just makes them look stupid. For another thing, it takes MORE time to write all fucked up then it does to form actual words and phrases. I don't understand those who choose to "wRiTe lIkE tHiS" Which for the record just took me forever to get it right, why take the time? Or people who think "Writin lik thi" makes them look smart. One of the most horrible phrases to me and sadly the most common ones, are those like this... "B bak l8ter" What the hell is that? Numbers do NOT belong in, or create a word!
I'm also pagan, but not devil worshipping; I’m into more of the Celtic and Wiccan side of the religion. I am in no way a preacher or basher of any religion. I believe everyone has their own choice about following a religious path or not following one at all. I studied multiple religions before settling on my own. One for personal reasons, for I wanted to choose one that followed the closest to my own beliefs and secondly so I couldn't claim ignorance as so many other poeple do when this topic pops up in conversation.
