Welcome to my world. My name is DarkBella. I always had a dark side in me that's why i love vampires and the dark world that much. I joined VR because i wanted to meet other people who have the same love for the darkness as me. So far i've met many interesting people and i consider some of them as my friends.

A few things about me:

Im from Greece, a country full of ancients legends, which can really intrigue the mind. Im from a big family. I have two brothers who i adore. If anyone tries to harm them, he's in big trouble. I can literally do anything to protect them ( good or bad. ) I've studied theatre but right now im working as a teacher. Of course my dream is to work in theatre someday, which is my big passion. I always believed that theatre is the way out of the reality, a big journey to the impossible.

Likes:

I love reading because through this i learn about new things. Im never fully satisfied with my current knowledge. I always crave for more. I like Stephenie Meyer's books ( actually im addicted to them ), Alison Noel's books and Richelle Mead's "Vampire Academy". Some of my favorite writers are William Shakespeare, Paulo Coelho, Dan Brown and some Greeks.

I like cinema too. I really enjoy watching movies ( all kinds ) if their story appeals to me. My favorite vampire movies are the Twilight Saga, the Underworld ( all of them ), Blade ( Wesley Snipes rocks ), Interview with a vampire and many others. I also like Avatar, Pirates of Caribbean, The Lord of the Rings, X-men and 2 fast 2 furious.

Music is a big part of my life too. I listen to music all the time.. when im sad, happy, in love, angry, calm.. my mp3 is actually part of my body, lol. Some of my favorite bands are Linkin Park, Muse, Paramore, Evanescenes, Nickelback and almost all the old classics rockers.

Another thing that i really like ( especially when i got a lot of energy in me ) is co-kart. There is nothing like speed when you want to break some limits.
On the other hand when i feel calm i enjoy drinking hot coffee and talking to my friends in a pleasant enviroment.

Dislikes:

I hate lies, traitors and fake smiles. I prefer the truth even if it's cruel. Another thing that i can't stand is the unjustice of this world. Sometimes i wish i had magical powers, so i could help the unprivileged ones. I also hate arrogance and those who believe that they know everything. As far as im concerned i believe something that Socrates had said once : " the only thing that i know is that i don't know anything ".

Generally im an easygoing person but i can become dangerous if you piss me off. I have some really good friends who i know them for years, like Liliancat who i've known her since our first year in college. My friends are important to me and i trust them with my life.

My sister Liliancat. She's always there for me when i need a friend to talk to. And i'll always be there for her. She's my best friend and i could do anything for her. My little girl thank you for being in my life. Love you..

Greece is one of the oldest sources for the contemporary vampire legend. Ancient Greek writings record the existence of three vampire-creatures: the lamiae, the empusae and the mormolykiai.

Lamia was the best-known vampire in the ancient Greece. She was a demoness with the head and torso of a woman and the lower body of a snake. In one version of the legend, Lamia was one of Zeus' mortal lovers. Filled with anger and jealousy, Zeus' wife, the goddess Hera, made Lamia insane so she would eat all her children. Once Lamia realized what she had done, she became so angry that she turned into an immortal monster, sucking the blood from young children out of jealousy for their mothers.

Another version of the legend is that Lamia was named after a Libyan queen. She was the daughter of Belus and Libya, and, as the story was told, was loved by Zeus, the king of the Greek gods. Hera, Zeus's wife, became jealous and took out her resentment by robbing Lamia of all her children who had been fathered by Zeus. Lamia retired to a cave from which, unable to strike at Hera, she took out her anger by killing offspring of human mothers, usually by sucking the blood out of the children. Her actions led to her transformation into a hideous beast.

The story of the mormolykiai is very similar. They were named after a woman named Mormo, who cannibalized her own children.

The Empusae were fearsome underworld Demoness who lured young men in the guise of beautiful women to their beds to their flesh and blood. Behind the deceiving illusion of a beautiful woman they were truly demonic.
